I was in the area and I decided to check this out never being here before. Nice little 9 hole course off the end of the 605 and Huntington Drive. They have a nice little driving range, restaurant and the course is short (1635 9 holes). A mixture of 3's (5) and 4's (4). All of varying length. Course is kept in nice shape and you can walk or ride. I enjoyed the condition of the course and the availability to use many clubs unlike many Par 3's. Had a great hamburger/fries in the restaurant. Great way to kill time if you are in the area, or just want to hit balls or play 9. Great customer service. It also looks like they have a great Jr program and a good # of instructors avaialble.

Came out after many years of hiatus and took my son to play for his first round of golf ever. For that, this is the perfect place. For somewhat experienced players, as I used to be a decade ago, it leaves a bit to be desired.
The pace of play on a nice day like today where many people are off work was slow. Got on at 2:45 and took just over 2 hours to get through the 9 holes, waiting on each hole for a group 2 ahead, which was a slow 5-some.
The tee boxes had plenty of divots in them, as to be expected for a short 9 hole course that has many beginners play. The fairways were pretty good in general, likely because many here don't hit them. There is only one sand trap on the course on the last hole, which looked fine.
The greens here are very nice currently. The website says they will be punched in April. They rolled very well, and for someone as terrible as me, even get them to hit the green and get plenty of backspin.
This is a place to come, not take the game too seriously, and just have some fun with others.

Be advised that part of the greens are sanded. Flag is placed on the good side with greens rolling quite nicely. Greens pretty soft and receptive.

Course conditions are not so nice though with fairways having bare spots. Also, there's a lot of overhead electric cables passing thru the course.

Staff was friendly and they also seem to have a nice dining area. Website can be deceiving though as it says 9 holes of magnificent golf... not really in my opinion.

They have a decent practice area with lots of stalls (mat), a chipping area and practice green.

To avoid fighting traffic on my drive from the OC to play Santa Anita at 7am, decided to stop by and play here. Since I have never played here before, I checked Sixpez's review, to give me a flavor what to expect.

The course was as expected, nothing special. Condition of the course was not good. The greens in all fairness were OK, but the rest of the course was simply in very rough shape to say the least.

Staff was perfect. I was told it was OK to tee off when I arrived if nobody was there. (which I did) and pay after I finished. This really helped be finish quickly so I could get over to Santa Anita in time to make my 7 o'clock tee time. $12 - too much $$ for this course! One and done for me

Let me begin by saying what a fun little course this is (par 31). We played a tournament on 11/7/15 and went off at 1:00. The tee boxes are flat and IMO the best part of this course are the greens. They are fairly large and quick, if your on the wrong side of the hole you will pay the price. Most of the fairways on the par 4's (4 of them), are thin and brown which is typical with the drought we are in. If you need to get a quick round in this is the place to do it and with easy freeway access its a must do.
Let me also note that this was the first tournament we put together, and everybody at the course was super helpful. The food was great, the bar staff was extremely friendly, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Thanks again to Alex and you're staff, you out did yourselves.

Just barely had enough time, but I did end up shelling out an extra $15 for a cart to zip around as quickly as I possibly could. Otherwise, it was only $10 to walk 9 holes. I played through one group early and then sprinted the rest of the way to check this one off the list and get to my next, and more important, round.

The course was in OK shape. They were overseeding the regular blue and white tee boxes throughout the course, so those were closed and everything was playing up with the reds. That made an already short and simple course even more easy. Fairways and rough were inconsistent and there were a lot of muddy sections after the rains, but decent enough for a course like this. The greens were the best part. They were rolling quick and pretty smooth, though there were plenty of unrepaired marks as expected. These greens have some tricky and sometimes severe slopes, so they are definitely the most interesting part of the course.

Again, a fine little course that serves its purpose well enough. The gloomy weather today obscured some of the nice foothill views here, but oh well.

Whenever I'm in the area, I try to squeeze in a round at this excellent, well-kept executive course in the San Gabriel Valley, where the 210 and 605 meet. Most golfers will be able to go through their entire bag of clubs on this nine-hole track, especially early on as they open with the 68-yard first hole before quickly reaching the longest hole at no. 3 (324 yards). The tee boxes are in good shape, most of the fairways are clean, and the greens are tricky at times. There is no water to worry about, but a few of the holes have greenside bunkers. This is a walk-only course, but it's mostly flat with a couple of elevated greens.

The practice area consists of a driving range, a putting green, and a small chipping area. A pro shop and restaurant are also on the premises, and the staff is friendly and courteous. I've played with different levels of players and all seem to enjoy the challenges presented by Rancho Duarte.

Tip: Use golfnow.com to book your tee time. Weekend prime-time green fee is $16, but booking through golfnow will get you a $6 (plus $1.99 fee) rate. Eight bucks for these nine holes is a steal.
