This is the original Palm Springs Muni that was designed by Billy Bell in the 1950's. Wide open fairways with a total of 60 bunkers and undulating, elevated greens. Layout is kind of vanilla compared to the newer tracks in the area with older homes lining most of the fairways.

Played for $10 as a walk on Monday at 12pm...WHAT A DEAL! Course is the best shape i've seen it in. Greens were in excellent condition and so were the tee boxes. The fairways had quite a few bare/brown spots but that is to be expected this time of year.

I prefer the layout of the newer "Resort" course but I had a great time playing the "Legend". Summer rates are good through the end of August. If you are in Palm Springs, give Tahquitz Creek a try.

This was probably the fastest round I've played. We finished in around 3:50. The course is wide open at most holes. If you're tee shot goes OB here, you need to go back to the driving range. They could probably build three holes just on the 18th hole fairway alone. Layout was decent, although the back nine had more interesting holes. Course conditions were good. For the summer rate of $30, this is a super deal even at 100+ degrees. My only complaint is the lack of water around the course. Although there seemed to be a water cooler at almost every hole, there was no water in any of them. Very surprising considering it's Palm Springs. Good thing we brought our own water. Definitely will play here again on my next trip to PS.

BUT AFTER I BOOMED SOME DRIVES RIGHT DOWN THE CENTER I STILL HAD TO HIT SOME LONG IRONS TO THE GREENS. AFTER THE WIND PICKED UP IT JUST MADE THE COURSE LONGER. WILL BE BACK TO PLAY THIS COURSE IN THE SUMMER AND WITH THE DRY FAIRWAYS THE BALL WILL ROLL FOREVER. GREAT FINISHING HOLE. CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF.

Great golf course and definitely worth the greens fee. Just completed aeration and over seeding for the season so the course was just getting back into great shape. It was a warm day at 88 degrees but there was no water on the course. There were two restrooms, one on the front nine and one on the back nine but the water faucets located there were not working.

Greens are slow right now but roll true. Fairways are still long because of the overseed. Course should be in great shape in 2 more weeks!

Played the Course during the first part of Sep. and it was great. Had an early tee time which made it so no one was on the course. I booked through the hotel I was staying at (Wyndham Palm Springs) so I could get a discount. Green fees and cart total was $19.50 per person. Can’t beat that!!! Great overall course to go out and have fun.

THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS COURSE ARE THE GREENS, THEY ARE ROLLING TRUE. THIS COURSE CAN PLAY A BIT DIFICULT WITH ALL THE WATER THROUGHOUT THE COURSE. THIS COURSE IS ABIT BORING COMPARED TO RESORT, BECAUSE ITS LAYED OUT THROUGHOUT A HOUSING TRACT. NOT A COURSE TO BE PLAYED MORE THAN ONCE.
