3/13 using their Palm Card 6 M-Th plays $200. A sunny(finally) am and a comfortable 350 POP. Fairways have good cover, were cut tight so a little thin but still good cushion and extra roll!!! Customers here could pay better attention to filling divots however. Rough not that long but generally clumpy with tufts of grasses that then provided uncertain lies. Found 1 fairway bunker on 5 well groomed but on the soft side. Also found 4 green side bunkers that have more than ample sand which is of the heavy variety and requires more skill than I have as it was far too easy to hit a little heavy barely getting out or too much ball and air mailing the sucker. Tees are lush and level.
Greens are in fine condition holding well struck full shots. Rolling today at 10.5 as posted in the club house. Since they have begun using the 6 segment pin placements the degree of difficulty has increased as even within these areas there is opportunity to make the pin location more of a challenge.
Friendly staff, good GPS, soft mats at the range and large chipping area with a sand trap and putting green that mimics the on course conditions as to speed but not all the contours you will find.

1/23 using the Palm card nice POP of right at 4 with very little waiting and not being pushed. Course has handled the rain very well as the fairways were in good shape mostly firm enough for some roll but with good lies and cushion with only a few wet spots in the lowest areas. Rough has grown out a bit and was quite thick around the greens to the point that the ball could sink nearly out of sight and was a challenge to hit with control. Found 2 greenside bunkers nicely groomed and filled with thick heavy but softish sand which is basically the same consistency as in the 2 fairway bunkers I explored---#4 has this gaping maw of one that is really penal having a six foot lip to get over out of the afore mentioned sand. Tees good level with good cover. Greens soft for full approach shots but still rather fast for chips and consistently medium fast for putting. Really enjoy the six area designations for pins--lot of variety and challenging locations--large greens with enough slope and levels to make for an interesting round. Friendly staff. New GPS in the carts. For a course of this quality it deserves to be treated more respectfully by the players--use the sand bottle to fill divots, repair your ball marks and rake your sasquatch foot prints from the bunkers.

1/7 on a balmy am(756 tee off) paired with a pleasant Canadian couple for a stress free 415 POP with very limited waiting. Fairways dormant winter condition with mostly good lies--fair number of unfilled divots so spent some time helping out. Rough mostly thin along most fairways with longer thicker stuff closer to the greens. Tees level some a little worn and thin but all quite playable.
Bunkers have a lot of sand and were recently groomed. All the bunkers that I was in or observed have a thick heavy sand--overall good for green side but overly penal from the fairway==#4 in particular hard to advance 100 yards what with the lip and all.
Greens had been either micro punched or verti-cut so were a little bumpy and inconsistent as to pace. Also were more on the soft side so foot traffic around the cup was fairly evident. Fixed 3-5 ball marks on about every hole. The use of the 6 zones on the green provide for some tough locations.
Easy check in soft mats at the range good chipping area with a bunker and large putting green that approximates course conditions. No gps just old school fairway yardage markers at 25 yard increments.

12/19 using the weekday palm card $199 for six rounds easy friendly check in and off at 8 am about 5 minutes early paired with 2 pretty fun golfers. POP about 4 hr with no waiting and occasionally gaping behind as 1 or more in the group had a struggle on a few holes. Fairways gave good lies even though they looked a little thin. Too many unfilled divots especially with sand provided and no cart restrictions--just lazy or ignorant maybe. Rough gets thicker around the greens and in some areas along the fairways. Tees lush and level. Bunkers recently groomed and filled with deep heavy sand. Today most footprints were raked but the nature of the sand is such that finding a freshly groomed area was much better than a raked area. Greens provide a real challenge and the use of the six area pin placements allows for substantial variety with increasing degree of difficulty especially back areas as many greens have a slope toward the edge. Smooth rolling at an 11 as posted at the starter. A few unrepaired ball marks and a few marginally repaired. Fine layout with good variety except the par 3s that are all about the same length.

The rough is extra violent right now. Fairways are FIRM, and the greens are rolling. This is the most fun I've had at Arrowood since we've been playing here, for years. The course is in GREAT shap... Continue »

The rough is extra violent right now. Fairways are FIRM, and the greens are rolling. This is the most fun I've had at Arrowood since we've been playing here, for years. The course is in GREAT shape. The only issue is the hacks that aren't repairing their ball marks.

Greens: smooth and very fast (starter said 11.5 on the stimp). A few to many ball marker that were not repaired.

Fairways: FIRM and thin. Again divots not being repaired.

Rough: 1-3" next to the fairways and 4-6" around the greens, very challenging.

Traps: decent raked sand. A few traps were still muddy from the recent rains.

POP: just over 4 hours.

Nice practice areas: chipping and putting greens. Very nice driving range with good practice ball.

11/7 using the course's Palm card $199 for 6 weekday plays(deal!!!) 856 tee time going off just before the men's club as a 2some following an couple of 4 somes with a small amount of waiting in the beginning and then none at all with no pressure from behind--so fell into a leisurely pace and finished about 350 POP. Fairways are in good condition with only a few thin areas but still good lies and cushion. Rough is pretty healthy and has filled in quite well about 2-3 inches along the fairways but 3-5 on the slopes and around the greens starting at the edges of the aprons. Miss the green by 3 feet and you are in the deep stuff--challenging
especially if you are a little short sided or above the hole.
Tees have good cover mostly quite level--#8 white box has a slight side hill slope.
Bunkers freshly groomed and are well filled with a soft but heavy sand--not my favorite because there is not margin for error--hitting a little heavy does not get good results--and the bunkers are deep 6-8 feet. I need to stay out or get better. Fairway bunkers have the same soft quality sand so the ball tends to sit down.
Greens are fully healed and quite good rolling smoothly medium fast speed. The 6 area pin locations provide for very interesting placements to maximize the utilization of contour and slope. Also of note on many of the greens the outer 6-10 feet tend to slope toward the fringe. true also for back pin placements so what looks like a miss quickly turns into a 6 foot come backer. Helps to walk around the hole to get a complete survey which I am not usually in the habit of doing until after my 1st putt.
Good layout with some very challenging holes and pretty good variety except for the par 3s which are about the same lengths but pin placements can make a 2 club difference. #8 and 11 are rather similar and with the pin locator will play about the same length however.
Large greens with contours and levels offer a good test of putting skill.
New mats for the driving range, excellent practice area for chips and pitches and a quality bunker, and a large putting green quite similar to course conditions(minus the ball marks).
No gps but markers at 25 yard increments from 200 in.
Obviously the course is working hard to provide good conditions and a good experience. Players need to do better at filling divots and repairing ball marks.
Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Had an 8 AM time under very overcast conditions but the sun finally came out near the end of the round.

Greens have "healed" from the recent aeration. They were smooth, holding and fast.

Greens have "healed" from the recent aeration. They were smooth, holding and fast.

Fairways - good condition, a few too many unfilled divots.

Rough - 1-3" high, not very penal.

Traps - decent sand and raked.

POP - just over 4 hours.

Friendly customer service. Nice practice area.

10/04 to get in a round before the punching begins next week using the Palm Card $199 for 6 weekday rounds. Course has started work on tees and overseeding the rough but did not affect conditions for play. Fairways looked a little browned out but actually provided good lies. Rough cut to about 2 inches and playable unless the ball found one of those occasional clumps of really thick stuff. Also longer and thicker in areas around the green I would guess course will be fully recovered in 3-4 weeks.
