Played 5/6. Tee Boxes - poor. Fairways - poor and sparse. Rough - poor (grass, maybe dirt), Bunkers had good sand. Greens rolled true but were slowwww. This could be a pretty decent course if is wasn't so ratty looking. The routing makes for some interesting holes, but the lack of course maintenance was sad.

Played 3-29-15 first out as a single walking in a little under 2 hours. Its been a long time since I felt ripped of by a golf course, but for $40 I definitely felt it here. This course is in terrible shape. Tee boxes, fairways, and rough are all the same , a mix of dirt weeds and some grass all at different heights. Plenty of sand in bunkers ,but crusty on top and not groomed. Greens were long, slow, and bumpy. Thinking back the best part of the course was the smell of bacon from the restaurant.

I celebrated Thanksgiving the only way I know how: with a little golf road trip. Took the opportunity to play some Southeast CA courses because I had to eventually check them off the list. I started this morning at Barbara Worth. Had a 7:00 tee time through GolfNow for $30. I needed to present my printed out confirmation to get the rate or she would have charged me the full holiday rate. The place was a ghost town, so I went off by myself a few minutes early and finished about 2 hours later.

The course is not in good shape. I didn't expect much, but it was still pretty rough. Fairways a mix of shaggy grass and bare dirt. Rough about the same. The greens were brutal. Very shaggy, bumpy and slow. Oddly enough, the two bunkers I was in had really good sand, but not very well maintained/raked. I believe this course might have closed down at some point (?), so I guess it's good to see them trying to bring it back to life. It just has a long ways to go.

The layout is fine. Nothing too exciting and made less enjoyable by the poor winter conditions. It could be a decent little course if they are able to fix it up more, but I won't hold my breath.
