Walked Vineyard this morning 7/8/24 for a special round with my buddy Pedro visiting from Ohio. Beautiful morning overcast fog gave way to partly cloudy skies with no wind and a POP of just over 4 hrs... Continue »

#18 is one of the most famous holes and par 3's in Ventura County. The "Island Hole" is a 191 yd par 3 that usually always plays into the wind and can play up to 20-30 yds longer depending on the conditions. I have hit as little as 7 iron to a front pin with no wind and as much as a crushed 4 wood. What you see is what you get....you are either on the island or dropping 3 in the drop zone...what a way to finish your round.

Not that big of fan of this hole...#17 is a short slight dogleg right par 4 where driver is not the play here for medium to long hitters. A smart play is a 3 iron or fairway metal played to the 150yd marker. Your approach shot must carry a raised up front greenside bunker and a lake to the right of the green which should not come into play. There is also a bunker short left. The green has a top tier and a bottom tier. Players need to stay below the pin on this very big green.
