Played this course for the first time 12/4/2011. The first thing I noticed was that there were no monuments near the tee boxes indicating what number hole you were playing. There was no information at all provided near the tee boxes. Many courses will have a layout of the hole, or distances from the different tee boxes, or at least something that indicates what hole you are playing. Stallion Mountain had nothing! This created some confusion on a couple of holes with the group ahead of us, they came back and had to ask us where the next hole was. Since we were new to the course, we couldn't provide much insight, except to say follow the cart path and signs. The course itself has apparently just re-opened after some renovation. There was nothing (outside of no monuments) particularly wrong with the course, but I thought it lacked character. There was nothing particularly special about it. The fairways were nice. The greens were ok . . it runs throughout a housing development, but the houses rarely came into play (well, once they did!!) . . but they were an ever-present factor. The course is challenging enough, it doesn't play like a typical retirement community course. With so many great courses in the LV area, I think they're going to be hard-pressed to gather out-of-town golfers, but this is a nice little community course. It probably won't be on my "gonna play it again" list for our annual visit to Vegas, but it certainly won't be on my "avoid at all costs" list either.

Played this course 10/23/11. It has just reopened about a month ago, after being closed for about 18 months. I was a little aprehensive as to what we would get. My playing partner and myself were pleasantly surprised. Greeted in parking lot by attendant, bags loaded and driven up to clubhouse. Clubhouse is extremely nice. As good as any in town, including some private clubs I have played. The staff was awesome, starter even gave us the option of pairing up with another twosome or going out alone before some foursomes. That rarely happens in LV. The course was in fantastic shape. If I needed to find a flaw I can only say that I saw probably 3 bunkers on the whole course that were in need of some TLC. The value was superb as they running a great rate for locals (trying to create more members). I highly recommend this course, especially if you are a local.

Played with a member on a breezy morning on 5/12. Course was in much better shape then when I played last which was 3 years ago I believe. Customer service here is excellent and practice area is tremendous. Layout is interesting played at 6900 yards but was not that difficult. Pace of play is always on slow side here for some reason long drive between 6 and 7 holes and par 3's slow course down. Overall course in in great shape with greens holding shots well and rolling smooth a little slow but true. Only downside right now is the amount of ground under repair being done to outer area and rough almost every hole has some ground under repair off the fairway. Nice course and I will return sooner this time with a good local rate!!

This is by far one of our favorite courses! All of Walters Golf courses are beautifully maintained.

Played 7-26 afternoon. fairways in great shape, greens ok but not as nice as the rest of the course. Played for $29 ,this course is private but a phone call got us on, we are going to try to play again next week. We only saw 5 people on the couse the whole day, played in 3 hours. Course played fair and not too difficult.

course has a great layout but the greens and fairways leave alot to be desired! greens are bumpy and fairways are spotty. great course but condition is fair at best
