Played my first round of the year yesterday morning at Bellevue (3/30/25) and had a really good time, even though the course is in slightly rough shape. Weather here in western Washington was really quite cold this winter (I had a great ski season) and Bellevue's showing the effects of that. The 4th green's been closed for some time my friends told me, and the 12th green just opened for the first time since late November. Overall greens were very inconsistent speed wise, and very bumpy. The ones like 12 that haven't had any play, or get lots of sun, were pretty nice, and definitely faster and smoother than the others. Fairways and rough were all pretty good here (like always) and I can't comment on the bunkers as I was fortunate enough to not find any of them. Usually they are pretty good. Tee boxes were pretty rough, they probably hadn't been cut in some time and many of them were in pretty bad shape. A few just get no sun whatsoever, and the par 3s aren't very long on this course so those get beat up pretty bad. Our 3 some teed off about 7:15 or 7:20, a few minutes early, and we walked the course in about 3:20 for an awesome pace. Service in the shop and the bar afterward was friendly and excellent as always.

Walked on as a single this morning at Bellevue, and got paired up with a couple of decent guys. Another single caught us and joined up on #5. Conditions here are pretty good right now, although the greens are a tad slow. They were punched a couple of weeks ago and are still a bit bumpy. In another week or two they should be much better as they do look relatively healthy. Fairways are pretty good, offering nice lies to hit from and a decent amount of roll out. The rough is healthy as well, and not very punishing. I didn't find any bunkers today, but they looked good and played really well the last time I was here. Some of the tee boxes are pretty bad, but that's just how it is here as they don't get enough sunlight with all of the trees. Pace was really good, we finished in just under 4 hours, never waiting and never pushed. Service in the pro shop and restaurant excellent as always here. All in all an excellent Sunday morning.

This is a rather late review, I played Bellevue both days last weekend (7/16/22 and 7/17/22) in a couple of different Mens Club events. Course is in pretty good shape, with the weather finally getting dry and warm the course is playing firm. Greens run at a medium pace, and are a tad bumpy. They hold shots pretty well. Fairways and rough are decent, bunkers very nice and tee boxes can leave a little to be desired. I played pretty early both days so pace was fine, and customer service is always good here.

Played in Men's club event yesterday morning (5/21/22) at Bellevue and had a pretty good time. Greens could be better, they're a bit slower than I'd like, and a lot bumpier but still in decent enough shape considering its been just a few weeks since they were punched. Fairways are already getting a little firm, offering some decent roll out on your drives in most places, with decent lies as well. A few of the landing areas on the short par fours have a few too many divots, but I was lucky enough to miss them all. Rough is good, not too much longer than the fairways and not very penalizing. Tee boxes aren't very good unfortunately, several aren't very flat, and the par threes and short fours have a lot of unfilled divots. Bunkers are probably the best conditioned aspect of the course, I was in 2 greenside bunkers that had a nice layer of soft sand to splash out of. Pace of play was good, our walking group of 3 teed off right on time just before 8 and got around in just under 4 hours, waiting a tiny bit here and there on the 4 in front of us. Service in the shop was excellent. All in all a good, solid muni golf experience.

Played in the first Mens club event of the year at Bellevue yesterday, and found the course in pretty good shape, especially considering the amount of snow we had last weekend. Greens were a bit bumpy, but rolling at a decent enough pace, and were consistent throughout the course. Fairways and rough could be a bit mushy in the low spots, but reasonable for the most part. Tee boxes not so great, but the one greenside bunker I found was very nice. We teed off right on time at 8:24am, and finished in about 4 hours, with our 3 some occasionally waiting on the 4 in front of us. For February in the northwest, the experience was pretty good.

Played this morning in a Men's club event a Bellevue, and had a pretty good time. Conditions are pretty good for this place right now, the greens have recovered from the punch pretty well. They were a little bit slow, and while not completely smooth they did roll ok. They're always pretty soft here, so shots hold well. Fairways were ok, a few of my lies were a little thin but most were good. Rough isn't too long, and not very penalizing. I didn't find any bunkers, but normally they are very good here. Tee boxes can get very sketchy, lots of them are surrounded by trees so they just don't get enough light. Many are quite chewed up, and many aren't very flat. Pace of play was very good, our 4 walked in a tad under four hours as the second group out. The group behind us never caught up, and the two in front of us disappeared rather quickly. I've had my issues with this place in the past, but being in their club this year has been quite nice. The place is super close to home, and always packed so being in the club gets me out here about once a month, and that feels just about right.

Back home and out for a round on the course around the corner from the house. Teed off about 6:15, and our foursome walked it in about 3:30, with no one in front of us. The three behind us pushed a little bit, but never enough to where it seemed like letting them through was warranted. Every time they waited for a shot, they would end up falling back and not waiting for the next couple. Conditions were pretty decent, greens weren't slow or fast, medium speed with a few bumps, and holding shots very well. Fairways and rough were also better than expected, the only really bad lie I had was when I found an old divot. I avoided all of the bunkers, but they looked pretty good, and in times past they've been in pretty good shape. Tee boxes were probably the worst part of the course, many aren't very level and many also have significant divot damage. It was $39 to walk it, and I would say it was worth that, although probably only if you're already in the neighborhood.

Played Bellevue yesterday morning (8/19/17, 7:00 am tee time) with a friend, and found the place to be pretty reasonable. Greens had a few bumps, but not nearly as many as I expected. They were pretty soft, and accepted most any shot. Pace was medium, not too fast and not super slow either. Elsewhere the course is pretty hit and miss, fairways and rough were ok, some tee boxes horrible with others decent. I found 1 greenside bunker, and it had good, heavy sand. Sadly, even though there were 2 rakes right next to it there was an awful lot of footprints. Pace of play was shockingly good, my friend and I walked it with another 2 in a cart and got around in about 3:45. We played here since I didn't have a lot of time, and it fit the bill. I wouldn't go out of your way for it, but since its right around the corner from where I live, it was worth it.

Played Bellevue this morning, teeing off right on time at 6:15 walking with 2 others. Conditions here are pretty bad right now, the greens have lots of dead spots, and bounce all over the place. Fairways, rough, and tee boxes are a little bit better, but not by a lot. I found 2 greenside bunkers, and they were reasonable. I find myself playing here often as it is close to home, and today I just didn't have the time to travel somewhere. At the same time, $40 to walk it is too much for the current state of the place. I think I'll have to stay away for the rest of the year, and hope it improves some next season.
