Played Wed 7/9, 9:30 tee time; hot day, mild wind. 4:30 pace. course is in immaculate shape as usual. Greens true, running a 11. they have water bottles on ice on the course at the bathroom you pass twice, plus the turn. It is always a joy to play here as it's in great shape and a really great layout. The restaurant is great, and if you like gambling, you can go to the casino afterwards. Best public course in the valley.

Played Saturday and expected pristine summer conditions and to use the special rate and the 2-1 offered 5 times with the west coast troon card. Troon golf manages the golf portion of the resort. Making my tee time at 12:01am Wednesday as soon as troon card rates became available. Failing to read the new fine print of the 2-1 offer changed this year. We did get the card rate but the 2 for is only after 11am any day and NOT applicable to any Saturday tee times. Still at $120 30% off the online rate. My fault not theirs.
Pro-shop said we were second out at 7:40 however we ended up third as the starter directed. The twosome who joined us skipped (10th) went on ahead of the foursome in front of us , and then later the 2-some who lead off. We stopped at the snack bar on way to the 10th tee discovering our other two were gone. We stayed in order as 2 on the back POP 4:35.
Course as expected in great condition through the green. Ample watering so some damp spots in some fairway areas and consistently in front of green approach openings. Requiring and adjustment for my bump and runs. Greens rolled great a few brown spots from ball marks. Finding the fairway a premium to gain some roll out. Rough sticky and beyond that the expected need to get lucky from the un-kept areas.
Some par 4's still cart path only and in those fairways two shades of green with seamless transition now from sod replacement (year of more ago?) Visual only. Oh my I did find and remove one weed growing from an unfilled divot in one fairway. Best carpet I play.
Range has had all grass removed from landing area. With artificial turf simulated greens and flags for targets.
Always look forward to playing here and service was great all around. The cart GPS accurate equaling the range finder.
Finish with some humor. I was wearing the heather clay color LINKSOUL polo and when the beverage cart made it's stop she says; "oh my, from afar it appeared you were playing shirtless as that color blended in with your skin tone." She was relived and I was surprised!

Played Thurs 7/13 , 8:10 am as a 3 some; beat the heat time... 4 hr round. course recovered from the punch... greens true, about a 10 on the stimp and in good shape. Rest of the course in fabulous shape. drinking water all over the course. Bunkers were damp in spots. rough is sticky, so even when the ball is sitting up, you need to respect the rough. I love this course and can't wait to play again.

Played Sunday, 9am shotgun. It was the 8 inch cup scramble. Only catch was greens were punched 5 days ago. Unbearably slow and sticky... but not too bumpy.. they rolled decent, you just had to hammer it. Left putts short all day, despite hitting them hard. But of course, made a lot of putts in the big cup. The rest of the course was in pristine shape (aside from some maintenance on the alternate fairway of 15. Customer service is always great. Tournament organization is smooth. And bonus, I got a voucher to come back for $300/foursome, at this $200 rack rate course. Best course in the Sacramento area, and a top course in Nor Cal.

In search of great putting surfaces, we choose to play in Brooks (Cache Creek Casino) for that reason and for some diversionary activities in case of frost delay. (it was one hour)
Scheduling a later than usual tee time for us 9:xx easy hour or so drive to the resort from Sac.
Asked the concierge desk to call pro shop and learned about anticipated the frost delay. That allowed us more than breakfast time and a leisurely warm up. Going out about 10:20 following a "mini" tournament (6 groups) starting on hole 10.
A scramble I think that turned shamble as the ranger advised the other two-some with us that a player in the group in front of us was asked to leave. Still slow pace of about 5 hours.
On hole 8 (our 17th) marshal tells us the pace is up to us from here!?
OK to the course:
Greens great smooth quick. Frosted by mother nature cut and rolled by the grounds crew.
Fairways. Five holes as well as the par 3's CPO and some sod and roped areas on the carts off holes. still very playable and possible to catch a seam lie, which could be a GUR drop and go. No bare or unkempt areas of concern.
Bunkers nice I had good lies and occasional success there. Other guy had one fried egg.
Tees fine and all good.
My last review may have been a 3/4 point too high then. Still a solid 8 or more rated course that never has never disappointed me. It's just fun!

Second hole Tony #1 says "wow these tee boxes are shaggy" ((sarcastically) they're perfect).
Rough tough stuff penal mostly can still get a chance at a good lie to advance out.
Fairways great. Greens impeccable. Quick but fair in all circumstances. Best I've played all year.
Bunkers firm some machine work damp in some areas. Only course area rating below 9.5.
Two holes cart path only 5 and 11 a few other areas roped off from carts but all areas playable.
Consistently high level of facility and service(s). No need to go on. You need to play here!

Played 4/4/21 9:40 POP 4:15 Course was in all around great condition. Fairways full & lush with complete coverage. They were a little on the woolly side and could have used a trim. I was a little surprised, since it was a Sunday of a holiday weekend. Especially at their new increased rack rate. But, maybe it is just growing fast? The rough was very lush & thick at 3"-4". You definitely paid a price for finding it. Greens were a little firm, but would hold well struck shots fine. Rolled at medium pace and smooth. Traps were in great shape. No rakes. The valley is in prime time right now. Very beautiful. Love this course, but not to thrilled at their new rates.

Played Yocha Dehe on 1/12/21 with DeepSea14. This is my second time playing here and it’s an absolute gem of a course. Course checks off all the boxes, elevation changes, great conditions, water hazards and super friendly staff. Like many of the Indian Casino courses, Yocha Dehe is hidden off the beaten path. It’s about an hours drive from Sacramento but well worth the drive. I drove from the valley and it was easily worth the 3.5 hour journey. Greens rolled smooth at a medium-fast pace. Greens are normal size with most being double tiered. There were some tough pin locations set right on the ridge that made putting speed crucial. Greens held well struck approach shots. The only thing preventing these greens from being a 9 or 10 was that some of them had a brownish tint to them. Didn’t effect how the putts rolled but did take a point or two off for presentation. Fairways were nearly flawless. These fairways easily could have belonged to one of the last two courses played over the weekend. They were that good! Tee boxes weren’t far behind the fairways. Level, lush and excellent coverage. I avoided the sand traps until the last two holes. Both bunkers were top quality with soft fluffy sand. Getting back out here reminded me why I liked this course so well the first time and also confirmed all the high rankings Yocha Dehe gets on the Top Course lists. Highly recommended playing it.

Troon managed course. Tee'd off at 11 and a bit of slow POP (4.5ish hrs) was all that hindered a great round. Other than a few sprinkles on the last three holes.
With winter weather some lee way may make it into my reviews. Here its not necessary. At the end of the day knock the grass clippings off your shoes (no sticky mud) and put the clubs in the trunk. A dry winter season so far but the turf conditions here are close to ideal.
Greens rolled great at med/fast held shots with spin.
Fairways 8/10 no brown spots rolled out appropriately.
Bunkers good a couple shots hung-up most rolled to bottom.
Tees above average.
Covid protocols in place with expected restrictions. No inside dining. Snack shack open for outside service.
+$20 if you'd like the single cart otherwise share with divider. GPS
Recommend.
