Played 9 holes. Course in really good condition not great. Again this course has ALOT of potential but doesn't get the same TLC as some of the top tracks in this area. But then it would be $uper$tition $prings...lol. Nonetheless, a challenging course and a ton of fun to play.

Teed off late Monday morning and round was slow with 4 1/2 to 5 hr round. Course was in very nice shape with greens one of the best of the 6 courses in the Greater Phoenix Eagle Card rota. Only complaint was the unevenness in some of the tee boxes.

This is one course where you must know your distances as there are some par fours where it is best to leave the driver in the bag.

Just moved to the area from LA and played my first round here. I chose this place because I actually live on the course. I am happy to say it is a GREAT design and nothing like a typical target golf desert track. Rolling fairways with mounding to help frame the holes. Grass bunkering is also present. There are plenty of water hazards and traps to avoid. I did find it interesting that there are several shortish par 4's but the 3's are pretty beastly with 3 of them being in the 200 yard range. I think this course has great potential!!!!

Conditions: Ok this is where I was dissapointed to some degree. The majority of the course was in above average to really good condition. The exception was the greens. They are bumpy at best. It looks like they were aerated a while ago, but were not done very well. I assumed this was a seasonal maintenance issue, but the guys I got paired with said this is the norm year round. Granted it was very cheap to play here in comparison to other courses, which probably explains the nonstop play we witness from our backyard. I would play here again out of convenience, but man this track has amazing potential!! I would pay twice the amount if it was in better condition.

On a side note: it would have been nice to be warned ahead of time that you are required to drive thru a storm drain FILLED TO THE GILLS!! The water was so deep the accelerator pedal was completely submerged!! No fun playing in soaking wet shoes....my bag, belongings and all my club grips were soaked too.

Played on 6-23-2011 Sorry to say but, this course has gone downhill fast. Used to be one of my favorite courses but, the condition has been deteriorating for a couple of years. Greens were choppy and beat up with dead spots all around. fairways were water logged on what seemed like every hole. You would be in the center and still hitting from soaked grass and mud. Bunkers were pure mud and thick at that. Tee boxes were uneven and best word to describe them was terrible on just about every hole, asked why don't they fix it and the guy on the cousre said they will be doing it this year. Staff is friendly although they push thier specials and so called deals pretty hard, the cart girl was polite and very nice probably the best thing the course has to offer. I really hope they bring this course back around it is still challenging and has to the potential to be one of the best courses on the east side once again.

Played today, as usual tee times were behind. I've never played this course when we teed off on time! Played in 4hours 40 minutes, 3 slow groups in a mini tournament according to the "ranger". The course was in decent shape, greens were good, a bit slower than I've played here. A couple of "quirky" holes, par 4's where you can't use driver ( I used a 6 iron on #4 and a 7 iron on #5) and you can still wedge in. The 9th and 18th holes are very nice looking holes - picturesque. However the "rack" rate isn't worth it. We used eagle card and get good rates. I'm not sure I'd rush back to play this course again, -in fact none of the group would, because of the layout, just not a lovers of it.

My only complaint was that the tees were way up, the middle tees were at the forward tee's for the most part, not sure why! Pace of play can at times be an issue at this course, but it wasn't today. Customer service was good. We used the Eagle Card (from 2009, expires end of January 2010) and got a $49 rate, which is very good rate, however I heard the pro tell someone that as of February 1st, the rack rate is $130. This is a nice course, have played it lots before, but certainly not worth $130 !

Played Dec 20. Course in better shape since last time I played. Except for the divots and ball marks, the course was in the best shape it has been in a long time. The layout of this course is outstanding for a cheaper public course. A must play in the SE Valley.
