Played 9/11. Got it the last day for summer rates. $60! Now it goes up to $120 until over seeding. Overall the course is in almost perfect condition. The greens rolled very smooth & true. It's a pretty average desert layout through the first 10 Holes. Then starting with Hole #11, the fun begins & so does the water! Excellent practice facility. Staff & service was great. Right now it's worth the price. In season this course is to expensive. There are other good high-end courses that are cheaper. The TPC makes you pay a premium to play a course that PGA Tour Players play. I have some pics & tips to submit.

Played July 1 2007. We knew the course was not int he best of shape right now. It is July. But this course was in horrible shape. You wouldnt believe they hold PGA events there the way it looks right now. Tee boxes were all brown. Fairways were half green with dirt patches all over. Greens looked like they got punched and never got watered after. Only thing that was nice were the sand traps. It was only $67, but definitely not what i expected playing this caliber of course...even in the summer. my local muni courses in los angeles are in much better condition at half the price.

All the staff were excellent though. Top notch

OK, this was my first time playing the course. It could not have been worse. Apparently, there are a few weeks each year where the course is in bad shape as the new grass grows except they dont bother to tell you. I was told on the phone that the course was "in great shape". It is except that there is almost no grass on the greens (probably 50% bare on almost every hole and every fairway on the back nine is patched together with big pieces of sod making it look like a giant quilt. There is no discount for playing these poor conditions, in fact the pro shop tried to overcharge me for twilight. We also got stuck behind an outing where the two groups in front of us decided to play together so we (a twosome at this point becasue the other two people quit and got their money back) got stuck playing behind an eightsome for the final 4 holes. I only had 2 days in Scottsdale and didnt get out until 3 or I would have walked out. Charging $155 to play in condition worse than my local city owned muni is a crime. Save your money and go down the road to Greyhawk.
