Fairways were in good condition with good coverage. Rough is spotty. Greens were awful. Shaggy and bumpy. Making anything more than a tap in was pure luck. Tee boxes mostly chewed up. At the turn, the bar was literally out of food. No sandwiches, hot dogs, burgers, just candy and chips. They mumbled something about a shift change. Anyway, I like this course but hard to recommend right now.
Played 11/15. Course is in pretty good shape. Fairways have some areas with thin coverage or bare spots. Greens were pretty smooth and fairly fast. Sand traps a little inconsistent. Pace was a little over 4.5 hrs, some of that probably due to the howling wind that day. Fun layout, still a decent value.
Played 9/8, was very hot. Course overall is in good shape. Fairways on most holes have good coverage. A few like #1 are beat up. Greens were nice and smooth for the most part. Sand traps were hard with little sand. No cart service here which is tough when it's close to 100 outside.
Played 6/7. The course is in good shape. The greens were smooth and fast. Fairways good, rough good for the most part. Pace was good. FYI, if you have been on the list getting discount coupons over the years, they have stop sending them for now. It's too bad because it was a great deal and it is getting pricey without it. They also don't have senior rates unless you buy a card.
Played 5/25. Couse is in decent shape. Fairways have good coverage. The greens are pretty smooth. Rough is pretty spotty and the tee boxes are chewed up. Place was slow, 5:15. Good layout, should be getting better with the good weather.
Course overall in good shape. Greens very good and fast. Fairways decent coverage for winter. Tee boxes were pretty chewed up. Has gotten pretty expensive now Fri-Sun.
Played Sunday 7/23. Course is in good shape. Fairways have good coverage, greens were pretty smooth and very receptive. Pace was a little slow but it was a weekend. Great place to play during the heat wave.
Played Olivas on Sunday. The course is in good shape. There is now water in certain places in play for the first time in years. Fairways and greens in good shape. Should only get better as the season goes on.
My first time here, and maybe my last. The course is in pretty good shape, nice layout. Greens were mostly very good, fairways decent coverage, traps good, tee boxes a little uneven. So what's the issue? More than 6 hours to play on a Saturday. We were literally on one par 5 with 6 groups on the hole. One on the green, one in the fairway, one waiting to tee off and three others just sitting and waiting. No Marshalls, no way to move people along. We called the pro shop from that hole to see what was going on and were told "We are really busy". Stopped in the pro shop at the turn (after 3:10 front) and they really didn't have an answer or seem to care much. Maybe it's not like this all the time but I don't think I am
going back to find out, especially for $90 plus/round.

Back in 2019, this place played as good as any course around. Conditions were mint. Unfortunately, since then, and with covid, it has been on a slow decline. Fairways and tee boxes are really beat up. Places where they have ground under repair don't look much different from the rest of the fairway. Rough is super spotty. Greens were decent but lots of ball marks. Sand traps were good. I love the layout and the staff is super friendly but for now, hard to recommend.
I have played Rustic many times over the years and it is not in the best of shape right now. Fairways are thin with lots of clumpy grass and tight lies. Greens were in good shape and very fast today. Sand traps were uneven, some good, a few wet. Tee boxes are pretty beat up. I know it's winter but they should do some maintenance on the course. My biggest issue is they charge $32 to ride as a single, even if you have no choice because nobody else wants to ride with you. That makes this is pretty pricey round for the conditions. Won't be back for a while.
Played here for the first time in years today. The course is in decent shape. Greens were fast and had a lot of break. Fairways were decent with some bare spots. Rough is spotty with big clumps of grass but they adopted a local rule to give you relief. Views here are worth the price of admission. Friendly staff. It's a muni but worth the trip if you can get a tee time.
