Course was in good shape, greens were a bit thin, some damage and had been repaired, but generally were good. Putted fast and true today. Fairways were very good. Pace of play was good. Cart girl was around enough. Customer service was good throughout. Got a good price thru EZlinks. This course has some very nice holes. There are lots of traps.

First time for this course, have played Cattail a few times before, but thought we would try Devil's Claw this time. Got a very good rate from EZ-Links. It was a cool/cold day, wet and somewhat windy, however the course was in excellent condition with no standing water at all, and 90 degree cart path. The greens were excellent, and would have been very fast (college tournament coming up, so they have cut the greens short) if not for the overnight rain, as it was they were pretty quick. There are some very subtle breaks in many/most of the greens, today the pins were pretty well all accessible, however the wind did play havoc with getting to the pins from the fairways/tees so we had some long putts today. The fairways were in excellent shape too, the rough was short so you could easily play your shot without having do dig through it, which was good. The main difference between this course and the Cattail is that there are fewer fairways on Devil's Claw, however I think there are more bunkers and waste area's - which cross the fairway's on a few holes - that come into play. We all thoroughly enjoyed the course, despite the weather. We finished in under 4 hours, catching the group in front of us on the 15th hole. Will play it again for sure.

Played 8/8. Got an online rate of $40+ tax which included practice balls. Didn't get a true measure of how the course really plays. We played it the morning after a hard rain the night before. Needless to say, the course played very soft and had a few washed out and flooded areas. Mainly in the sand traps. Originally we were supposed to play Cattail, but it was closed temporarily because of the storm damage. The staff & service was great. We tee'd off 20 minutes late since all the play was pushed onto one course. They rangers kept it on top of it and we still finished in less than 4 hrs. 15 min. Overall the course is a good layout. Desert course. Target golf. If you hit it beyond the rough the desert is thick with brush making it hard to find your ball. Greens still need two weeks to heal the aeration holes. Nice practice facility. Need to play again when it dries out.
