Played this course today 10/13/2014. They had only been open for 2 days since reseeding. Greens looked as if they hadn't been seeded at all and were cut way to short. Grass cuttings all over the fairways and roughs were extremely deep. Still one of my favorite courses for the cost and will be back soon. However, I would give it another week or so before you play it.

Played 1/12/14. Guy at pro shop had some insightful advice about what tees to play and course tips, etc. which was a good start to the day. Very fun and interesting layout for a desert course. Course was in nice shape tee to green, and it was challenging without being too penal for errant shots. I played a bunch of nearby courses during this same trip and this one and Tubac were by far my favorites. As far as local courses go, anybody who plays haven instead of Torres Blancas is crazy. This course is miles more fun and in better shape.

This course had a Par 3 tournament two weeks ago and they haven't fix the tee boxes from it. Pretty sad that they don't have enough maintenance staff to fill a few divots. Other than that it was in good shape and always a fun course to play in the wind. 17 and 18 down wind what a blast!

I have played this course twice now and is a joy to play. I played it last Sunday March 20, 2011. The course is in real good shape overall. The greens were a little slow for the money I paid to play. I even called the pro shop on the Friday before and he said the greens were in good shape. Good shape yes - fast no! If you charge $52 to play you need to get them rolling around 8-9. These greens were 3-4 except number 16, it was oddly fast. My only three putt of the day. It can be windy out on the back 9 because its away from the houses. But a very good track. Trevino knew what he was doing when he designed this on.

It's been a while since I played Torres Blancas. I like this Trevino layout. There are some forced carries, but for the most part, the trouble is minimal. There are very few holes where you have to leave the driver in the bag and I like that. Although this course is built throughout a housing development, it doesn't feel cramped at all. The par 3's are great. Two are uphill, one is from an elevated teebox, and the other is over water. Very fun holes! The 17th is a great golf hole. 490Y par 4 with water in front of a very shallow green. The staff is excellent, the driving range is nice and the putting greens are very good. They need some work on the sand in the traps, it was very thin when I played but otherwise the course is in very good shape. Well worth the fee! I'll play it again . . often!

I like this course. I've played it several times since first playing it last July. It is a lot of fun! The final 3 holes are really good golf holes. #16 is pretty straight forward. Approach is to an elevated green with a very large ball-sucking bunker in front and loads of trouble if you go deep! #17 plays much longer than the yardage listed. Generally plays into the wind. Approach is over a large water hazard to a good sized green. Uphill. Appears much more difficult than it actually is, but you've got to get over the mental image of trouble to make the shot. #18 again plays much longer than the listed yardage. Takes a pretty good poke off the tee box just to reach the fairway. Water pretty much the entire length of the hole on the left to an elevated green. I like it because I fade the ball, but have played with some folks that draw it, and they nearly always find themselves in trouble or wet! This was the first weekend in a while I've played, and one thing I found interesting is the different visual perception I got of the fairway width with the bermuda rough now being yellow with the rye green fairways. Everythig looked a lot narrower! A fun course to play. Very pleasant staff. Interesting layout.
