Played here this morning. I knew I was going to play this course on this trip, so it was impeccable timing that GroupGolfer put out a voucher deal last week for $24 (including cart and range balls). That price isn't that much lower than their typical hot deals, but it offered much more flexibility when I could use it (and no booking fees either). I booked a 6:28 time and went off first by myself around 6:15. Caught a couple back nine groups that I had to play through, but otherwise finished in under 2 hours. I'm continually impressed by the conditioning of many of the inexpensive Central Valley courses I've been playing this year. They just know how to grow stuff in this agricultural heartland (insert Stater Bros theme song here). Everything was so lush and green throughout the course. The tee boxes and fairways were great. The primary areas of rough were also very nice. There are some outer areas they're not putting as much effort into, so I can see a bigger turf reduction effort in the future here. I saw lots of maintenance out there, and the guy was dragging the traps in front of me. The bunkers were excellent. The greens had been cut and rolled tight, so putts were relatively quick even while still pretty wet. The greens here are fantastic. There were just a lot of old ball marks and unprepared marks. Nothing that affected putts much, but it is a shame the players here aren't truly appreciating what they have and doing their part to keep them as nice as possible. As for the layout, another pretty traditional back and forth Central Valley track. Lots of trees and a few water hazards, but overall what you see is what you get. Solid track with above average conditioning, affordable rates and a friendly vibe from everyone I came in contact with.

Love this course! Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Course is in great shape from tee to green. Also the food is really good. I highly recommend this course to any golfer.

This is a nice old traditional course with large mature trees, narrow fairways, and small greens. It has a lot of what I call character. But , as all things now days they have fallen victim to raising maintenance cost and lower number of players. I have only played here a couple of times as it is not on my normal direction of travel. This course plays long as for example the ninth plays 450 with a dogleg guarded by big trees. This is what makes it fun, it forces one to think just like a lot of the old style courses, it's not just bombs away. If you like older style courses with a good friendly atmosphere and if you can overlook some of the shortcomings I would try this course. It reminds me of a old diner that serves the best burgers in the world.

Played here yesterday. Didn't really expect to much, but I was pleasantly surprized. THis is a old school muni type layout that can play pretty long at times. It helps to have some course knowledge as water comes into play on a few holes as I found out the hard way. This course has very mature trees that reqire pretty straight drives if you want to score. The other factor that makes this a good course is that the greens are relatively small and that you have to pay some attention to pin placement. The greens are what I would call semi-fast, but they are easy to read and they roll true. It's a easy walking course, and for $27 you can't beat the value. I will definately play here again.

First time I've played this course. While driving to the course I did not expect much, but was pleasantly surprised how much better the layout was than it looked from the surrounding area. I prefer traditional courses, so I am bias. Nothing really special, just a nice old golf course. Greens/traps were good, but the fairways need some TLC.

There used to be several reviews on this course and a score card listed.
I played here many times in the 80's. My parents lived nearby and I would play when we came to visit.

I played here many times in the 80's. My parents lived nearby and I would play when we came to visit.
I always enjoyed it and the course always seemed to be in pretty fair shape.
My son and I would tee off around 6:30 and pay our green fees at the turn.
I guess that doesn't happen anymore.
