Played today. Visited an old friend who lives inside the community and he made all the arrangements. Had not played here in many years, so was pleased that it happened. Many changes in the course and the clubhouse since my last visit and they are spectacular. Every facet of this course is in top condition. It is a great feeling to play this course, having watched the tournament for so many years, as the holes have a familiar feeling (at least they did for me). I played the right tees for my hdcp and had an enjoyable round of golf (and yes I parred the 17th hole, for those wondering). This is one course IMO, that should be played, if one has the opportunity.

Playing 2nd time this year. Last time I played it was week after Player's Championship and conditions were fabulous except for some minor traffic worn spots on the courses from the spectator. Played 9/29/13 and it was beautiful day of 79 degree. Course has been re-sodded in July and everything was immaculate. Greens were smooth and fast. Fairways were firm and rough was super tough. Anytihng in the rough sat down and anything longer than a short iron was impossible. Today was little windy and made it super tough. Playing from 6100 yd tee, I could still only muster up 89. Green side chip and pitch shot was very tough. On the adjacent course at Dye's Valley Course, Web.com tour was having their championship so people were warming up side by side with the tour pros. Of course I don't think any of the pros shot 89....lol. If you get the chance, come out and play. Its definitely a bucket list course.

I played here one group behind Paisano on 6/16 and then again on 6/17 with a friend who lives couple hours away. I'm glad weather was phenomenal and was able to help out a fellow golfer to scratch one off his bucket list without breaking the piggy bank. From the entrance to the bag drop, they are top notch. There really isn't much to knock on about the course except that we probably picked the busiest weekend (father's day weekend) to play here. We didn't have much choice since they aerate the green and do repairs for 2 months after Father's day weekend so we wanted to squeeze in before that happened. This is my first time here when the greens weren't in aerated or in dormant Winter Condition so it was a new experience for me also. Condition was top notch all around and putting green was especially smooth for Bermuda. In order to score well here, you have to hit good tee shots. Errant tee shots can easily turn each hole into double bogey or worse as there are no easy shot except on the fairways. Bermuda rough isn't very tall but ball will sit down into it and will grab your clubs making it hard to hit anything longer than 7 iron. There are over hanging tree branches so be extra careful as I found one that effectively turned my -1 into +2 in no time. There are lots of hidden bunkers and water you can't see that long hitters can get into. They have yardage book for $5 at the proshop but if you ask nicely, usually starter will give you one along with your fancy metal bag tag which can be inscribed with any message you want post round. Forecaddies aren't mandatory after Player's Championship but if you're golfing with daily fee players, they'll stick you with a forecaddy to make sure you move along and don't mess up the course. My 1st day, we had a forecaddy since 3 of the golfers I was paired with were daily fee guests of Marriott while on my 2nd day, they didn't even ask us if we wanted a forecaddie since my friend and I were using staff pass to play and 3rd was a member. Only thing I can say is that thank goodness I know a Staff and I get to play for 50% off. Already counting the days until my next year's TPC Sawgrass trip. P.S. I almost had 3 different chance at hole in one. I hit the flag stick on 13th hole and 17th hole on Saturday. On Sunday I hit it 6 inches in front of the hole which rolled just past the cup on 3rd hole for tap in Birdie. That sure would have been nice....LOL.

Holy awesome bucket list golf course Batman! This course was everything I dreamed of, then much more. The course is completely picturesque on every hole. Pulling into the TPC community, it is extremely classy. There a flags of each Players winner along the streets leading up to the clubhouse, then boom, there is the clubhouse in all its splendor. It looked too nice to even open the door. Inside are paintings of memorable moments of the Players of Jack and Tiger and jumping into the water. The clubhouse has everything you can want, although not always in the right size. Hard to find larges for guys. 
Your group will be assigned a forecaddie who will let you know if your drives are safe, gives you distances, helps with putts, and I believe kicks your ball when you drive it into the rough into a place you can hit out of. 
The practice facility is great. Big range, left side for general people and right side for golf pros. 
As for the course, it looked better than what I saw on TV and video games. Grass is green, skys are blue, conditions were great. Tee boxes were cut perfect and easy to tee up anywhere. Fairways are a pleasure to hit off of. Rough is tough, bermuda grass and not easy to hit a longer club out of, but can get an iron on it fine and a wedge great. Bunkers were great to hit out of and nicer to hit out of than the rough. The greens were rolled in the morning and had a moderately quick pace. Lots of break on the holes and can be either negated or amplified by the direction of the grain. 
Then there is the layout. Lots of fun an a new hole each hole. Driver can be rested for many holes as well on par 4's as you want to play for position. Once you hit hole 16, all thought go to the Players Championship and you can relive what you see on TV. Hole 17, hit as many balls as you have until you land one. Not very hard, but can be windy.
In all, a great bucket list experience for anyone and one that will definitely not disappoint.
