Played today on a foggy day $36 golfguide.org cert. No amenities used today, just straight to the 1st tee 4.25 hour pace. Metro is playing very muni-like lately and today there were roped off areas on quite a few holes but especially on 17 where it was like a rubix cube of g.u.r! Greens were very playable with good rolls and not too many bumps and marks. But gone are the days of pristine fairways and roughs back in the day. But I guess it is becoming par for the course at a lot of bay area courses. the 17th is an interesting and challenging hole. Good for walking but cart was included. Good value for $36 but would have to think hard about paying much more than that.

This course continues to go downhill, I think I have played my last round here. I don’t know if they are having saltwater issues or some kind of soil problem. The amount of bare dirt everywhere makes the course not tournament ready or worth the money.

We play here every once in a while so I can see subtle changes occurring since it's inception a few years ago. I remember how beautiful the fairways, tee boxes and greens were. The layout is rather bland on the front nine but picks up a bit on the back with a few doglegged holes and water hazards. The tee boxes are generally not too bad, fairways ok for the most part but had to play on some bare patches and hardpans. Greens however are still pretty true and peppy so that was enjoyable. Saw the drink cart a couple times spaced out very well but did not patronize. Pace was groovy for a Sunday round with the boyz. It is still a nice course especially during the rainy season but I hope the grass is in better shape for the summer months. Range is grass which is always a plus. Carts are good but what happened to the g.p.s.? Golfguide coupon is $49.00 so it's a good deal otherwise I may balk at a higher fee.

Played last Sunday using golfguide.org after 10am for $49.00, cart with G.P.S. included. Course is in moderately good condition overall. Local rule allows g.u.r. for bare spots on fairways and rough. Course is neo-links style, i.e. no trees. Next to Oakland Airport so typically windy in the afternoons. Front nine is pretty much nondescript but the back nine is more interesting. Greens were in good shape, fairly true, rolled well but not lightning fast. Refreshment cart tantalized us but never made it to us for some reason. Play was slow at times due to second foursome ahead of us. Marshall was very nice and kept us apprised of the situation as he prodded them along. One of the few local courses that has a grass driving range. A good value using golfguide.org but it was a bit confusing finding the weekend rate after 10am because it was in a drop-down menu under the weekday heading.

First time at this course. A little too much $$ if you don't have a discount ($65.00 to walk on 8/6/11 Saturday). Some long walks from greens to T's and no views of the bay, the airport yes and on the back you go by a treatment plant. PU. But all in all it was a good time.

Played day after Christmas rained for several days but did not rain today. Course holds up well overall with some puddling here and there but very playable. Greens were still true and fairly fast. Driving range was grass, not mats surprisingly. Fairways were decent considering time of year, tee boxes good. Cart have G.P.S. but cart path only today. Poles in fairway are for aiming only so without many yardage markers, you need some sort of hand held range finder. All in all, best wet conditions course in area. Staffers are friendly and helpful. No drink cart that we saw. Clubhouse in good shape, bathroom clean and modern. Well-kept premises.

Played early morning on 8/1/09 in under 4.5hrs. Fairways were amazing. Greens had many ball marks. Entire course doesn't favor left handed players with a fade as there is no bail out areas on the left side of the fairways. GPS in the carts work great. Holes 14 and 15 border a pond of waste, so be sure not to breath.
