I purchased this online from Golfsmith for $100 on special. I thought I would finally join the 21st century after never having any type measuring device. It is easy to use and holds a charge for about 2 rounds. It is also easy to recharge. So far, so good, I am getting used to wearing a watch during the round. The accuracy seems good, it is rarely off more than a yard from what a cart's GPS has the yardage as. The downside is that it is limited to only front/back/middle yardage to the green. » Close

I recently picked up the Garmin S1 watch and love it after only a couple short rounds. It is super simple to use and requires zero setup. The time/date is updated automatically by satellite. It only takes a minute or so to locate position when starting a round.

I recently picked up the Garmin S1 watch and love it after only a couple short rounds. It is super simple to use and requires zero setup. The time/date is updated automatically by satellite. It only takes a minute or so to locate position when starting a round.

On the course, I am loving the ability to know my yardage at a quick flick of the wrist. No need to get wrapped up with operating and carrying a handheld device, laser or gps. I see it speeding up my PoP since I no longer have to search for markers and guesstimate the yardage. Plus having the accurate yardage has already saved several strokes for me with better club selection.
