On Feb 15, I had a 8:37 am tee time. We finally teed off at 9:15. From there on the pace of play was horribly slow. We had to walk off at #14 at 1:30. Our playing partners didn't finish until 2:30 pm.

We used to play Diamond Bar at least once or twice a month, But on Nov. 2, 2009, we encountered the same situation as described above - teeing off 45 minutes after our scheduled tee time and slow pace of play, forcing us to walk off after 13 holes. Last Monday was our first time back since then. It may be awhile before we come back to this course.

This course was very slow pace throughout all holes. The course was in great shape but the 5.5+ hrs pace of play makes this course less than desirable. Don't think I will play here on weekends again.

It was my first time playing at Diamond Bar and had good experience with the exception of the six hours at the course. Great customer service! The Marshall "Don" is a class act with good tips on the course. The course was in great shape.

This course does allow 5 soms. Don't come here if you want fast round. Customer services are great especially David in the front desk.

Played Friday at noon finished at 4:10 Walked the course as a 3some behind a slow 3some nobody behind us. Conditions are pretty good, looks like they are trying to get the tee boxes in better shape. Fairways are decent, greens are recovering nicely. Marshall nice touch with the ice water around the course. Saw the cart girl a couple times. Nice day out there. The greens held the shots real well and the sand traps were in real good shape. Greens need some more time to get smooth but the roll of the ball was at a good pace.

overall, i liked the layout and the pace. i played my round, with a foursome in about 4:40 minutes. considering the course was moderately crowded, under 5 hours isn't bad. the course rolls with the base of a mountainside, right off the 57 freeway. there are 2 - 3 moments of good climbing but this is definitely a good walker's course.

one recommendation would be to level the practice greens in a few areas for better practice. naturally that's work but worth it. a lot of the green surface just gets overtaken by the gravity of it's placement on the hillside. there really is no "flat" or "non-breaking" areas.

the condition, save the aeration(gotta be done), is standard for SoCal Muni. kikuyu fairways and rough with minor overseeding. tees are mostly kikuyu also. greens-poa anna.

i would give the overall rating for the course as a 6. it was totally playable. i always keep in mind what i'm getting when i play a muni out here. this one is a nice walk.

Not a bad place to play on a weekday after noon. Teed off at 12:30 and finished at 3:45. Fairways and tee boxes can use work, but it is good for the most part. Greens are 1/2 punched and sanded right now, so land on the good half of the green and you will be putting fine. Easy to walk except for the uphill signature hole, a par 3 that you should club up 2 clubs for.

I live in Palm Springs and this was the longest I've ever driven to play a round of golf with a group of friends. The Poa Ana greens take some time getting used as I'm familiar with the Bermuda greens in the desert. Some unrepaired divots but overall the greens are in pretty good shape.

The layout isn't exceptional but it is solid and challenges come from doglegs, elevation changes and tree lines which can come into play if you hit an errant shot. You can hit driver on most holes because the fairways are generally wide open. We played from the blues which is supposed to be 6800 yards but most holes were 20-40 yards less than advertised. The "blues are probably closer to 6400-6500 yds. I was actually relieved because 6800 yds is more than I can comfortably handle.

Pace of play was very good for a Saturday afternoon and the Marshall stopped by quite often to offer us cold water (it was hot...even for a desert rat). The only real negative is the constant traffic noise and it seems that most of the holes run right up along the highway. It wasn't distracting but it sure wasn't a relaxing environment.

We had a good time and if I lived in the area I would play Diamond Bar again.
