I love this layout. The problem is we played this course during The Long Beach Open. This means that alot of decent golfers go into these greens with wedges so they look like a teens pizza face. Still a good value and I don't see how Skylinks stays afloat when this is here for less doe. It's a challenge to shape your tee shots around the overgrown trees. I'll go back any time. fngolfer

18 is open now but still alot of construction going on. I guess there was no time to cut greens and fairways. Still I always enjoy playing here. Great layout and when they use that new back tee on 18, I hope they convert it to a par 5 because it's already the toughest tee shot there.

Played early Monday morning and we felt like the only people out there. NO RANGE??!! Free peanut butter cookies in the pro shop. Could not read these greens. Looked FAST but played reasonable. Paid $65, wouldn't pay more. Bring straight driver. 18 was beautiful.

Played Sunday morning and the course was in decent shape. Greens rolled smooth and true. Don't pull tee shot on 10 or you'll have a hell of a time finding it amongst all the stray one stripes. And once again, try as I might , I just can't seem to find the 18th fairway. The tee shot just doesn't fit my slanted eye.

Stay away from the right side on your second shot into 18! They did some tree trimming but got lazy and left all the clippings along the driving range fence. Way to go, guys. And why are the greens so bumpy early Sunday morning? hmmm. I'll get you next time, scgolfer.

Greens were rolling very smooth. We followed the mower early this morning and yes, a couple of us were 'kinda of slow' as 1scgolfer put it. Get spell-check , dumb a@*.

Okay, ENOUGH with the water for God's sake. Does the greenskeeper know that we are entering another duration of 'El Nino'? Not nessesary! There were several relief drops in our foresome today due to the soggy fairways. Had the breakfast special at their coffee shop and it was good and on 1scgolfer's dime. Sweet!

I agree with lipncin for the most part however I liked the lush fairways because the ball sits so nice on top. This course is usually in good shape and this morning was no different. Just turn the hose off a little earlier.

Played Sunday morning and conditions were not bad. Although the greens 'appeared' consistent, in truth, a couple were much slower than others. I left a couple putts four to five feet short, even with a solid hit. Other than that, a good time and reasonable, especially for Orange County.

I like the layout of this golf course and the mild weather is always welcome in the summer along with the ocean views. Los Verdes used to be known for their lightning fast greens but they were pretty tame Sunday morning. Could have used a mow. Some fairways run like Britain since the ground just can't grow much grass. Seems to be getting worse every year. However I can not blame course conditions for the way I played and I knew 1scgolfer could not play like a dog THREE weeks in a row. How about proof-reading your feedback, knucklehead.

What is up with the tee boxes? Maybe the wife left the greenskeeper for the UPS guy. Also, I'd like to find that rooster that cocka doodle doos in your back swing and tee one up off his friggin beak. Shut the hell up. Otherwise, the fairways are near perfect as were the greens. Rough was way up and lush. Gotta be a strong driver to score well here. Good test of golf. OJ is missing out.

Good straight foward track. Local knowledge not neccessary to play well. Tees were WAY up today so it played easier than usual. Worth the green fee. Took 1scgolfers money. He was pretty gracious about it too which is unusual.
