Love Woodley. Course was a little soggy for a 9:30 am Tee-off but at least they are watering the place and doing what needs to be done to keep the brown spots to a minimum. This course has the best greens of all the L.A. City Courses....they are ALWAYS in very good shape. Great place to bomb away........that's why we call it W-I-D-E-L-Y..........

Played this course during the week and was able to walk up and get on. Course is wide open and only problems is a couple of lakes. However when I went they were fixing some greens so they had a flag and hole in the middle of the fairway and only notice was a piece of paper at the starter box.

Stay away from this course. Played twilight yesterday or maybe it was super twilight, so basically got to play nine holes, or was it six holes on a nine hole walk. Holes 2,3, and 4, there were what they called temp greens, a flag stick about 50- 70 yards short of the green in a 9" diameter hole in the ground. Nice try. No mention of this from the starter. Thanks. Out of towner, ok that's extra. Should have been a 33 % discount. Pace of play.. ridiculous. Weather, great. Almost would have rather stayed in traffic on the freeways. I will not return. I wasn't expecting much but what it was, Very disappointing.

I played this course yesterday at 6:12 a.m. and it still took a bit over 4 hours to play, there was a foursome in front were all walking and spent most of their time looking for their ball in the rough. The greens were in descent shape, but they were a little long, typical for a city course. There was no break to them what so ever and the rough looked like it hadn't been cout in weeks. The average length of the rough was around 5" The sand around the greens are filled with washed sand making it hard to get under the ball to get it to sit on the green. For being a non-resident paying $39 to play seemed like a resonable price at first but after playing I think the course is worth $25 tops.

Greens are completely healed from aeration, but speed of the greens are slow. Fairways and greens are very moist in some. Finished the round in less than 41/2 hours.

Played a.m. today. Course is not in very good condition right now. Fairways and tees thin - actually had better lies in the rough. Greens were okay and pace of play was 4.5 hours, which was nice for this muni - no pile up at the 3rd tee this time. Three practice greens but only one open. I hope fairway and tee conditions improve before I come back.
