It’s been 6 years since playing the Valley Course at Robinson Ranch, a lot more challenging then I remember. LOL. Fun track although with natural peaceful surroundings that immediately come into play on wayward shots…7 times for me. I played as part of our GK Event and felt the course was in excellent shape, especially for August! Speaking of the event, I was impressed with how Robinson Ranch handled our group of 40 players as they were very accommodating and professional. We had our after golf post event up on the patio that gave us a birds eye view the closing 18th hole. Very nice patio I might add with plenty of space to host well over 100 players. Overall, I found myself wondering why I’m not playing this course more often. Very enjoyable...thank you Robinson Ranch.

Played in the GK event on 8/20/2009 from the blue tees. Had never played here before and our group was treated to some course knowledge by a good golfer in our group who had played it before. Had a fun group. I enjoyed the course. The course itself is a target golf course and defends par very well, you need to probably play it several times to feel comfortable with club selection off the tee. Driver should only be used here on probably 30% of the holes. There is plenty of lateral hazards and doglegs on this course. It is a thinking man's course. The views are beautiful and the peace and quiet of RR is the way golf should be. The conditions were good. The greens putted nicely considering the amount of ball and pitch marks on several of the par 3's and shorter holes. The greens were receptive for the most part and probably were running around a 9 on the stimp. I was not in any sand bunkers but they looked decent. The tee's had some divot damage but for the most part were in good shape. I thought the fairways were in good shape. The rough was not to penal. The difficult holes on this course were #9, #14,#17, #18. The back is the tougher nine here. Thanks to Erich and John for coordinating another nice event....

Don't let the 1st few holes fool you, this course gets tougher each hole. Course is in excellent condition, although some TLC needs to be done on the greens by golfers but greens are fast. Fairways (the few I experienced) were in great shape. Good to have prior course knowledge here as some danger in spots not seen from the tee boxes. Lots of areas to lose balls, as you can't easily slice into another fairway, most slices are gone. Friendly staff and a great GK outing here.

This is a great course but the greens are suffering from either heavy play or undeserving players. REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS PLEASE!

I played the valley course at robinson ranch today for the first time. I had played the mountain course before and the valley course was just as great. The valley course plays a bit longer then the mountain course and has much more doglegs. The fairways have a lot of slope to them making it difficult to plan your tee shot. The greens were a bit firm making it a bit hard to get the ball to check-up. The fairways were smooth but around some of the sand traps and hazard areas (which there is a lot) the fairway was very hard. All around a great course that I look forward to playing again when it is not as HOT!

Played the Valley today and the course was in great shape. The greens were Firm and Fast! Tough day if you were above the hole, ball just seems to keep going no matter how soft you tap it. Rest of the course was great, unfortunately my game wasn't. Still I fought on and had a good time. Staff always nice and helpful.
