Played this AM. Cool to start but warmed up nicely. They have the course in good shape after aeration. Tee boxes are all playable. Traps are all playable. Fairways have good coverage but you need precision as the grass is shorter vs being lush so hybrids are excellent tools to have with you. Greens have all returned in nice shape and will hold shots, release shots and chip/putt with about a speed of 10 and much quicker on downhillers. They have kept the rough to a minimum the closer you are to the greens and farther out a little higher but you are still able to find the ball and advance. And for those who have never played here there are various OB, small canyons and water to avoid as well. Customer service was OK but pro shop was late in opening and that did cause some back up checking in. Took the Sr rate + $6 breakfast voucher and the bill for 3 of us after vouchers were cleared came to $6 (coffees) and each of us ordered the same $14 breakfast dish.

Played early AM today and though cool at start warmed up nicely. Greens are not totally healed from aeration of 22-24. Most of them showed the punching and the putting was average to OK on all holes. Tee boxes are all good at present and traps were all playable. Fairways had good coverage lies and roll out. Good customer serervice from Patrick as usual. The new carts and GPS are really nice.

Played this AM in great weather. POP 3 H. Course has new carts and they were installing the GPS systems this morning. As we teed off early we did not have access to the GPS but used our range finders. Those that did use the GPS said it was excellent. We will find out the next time we play. Course is in great shape. Tee boxes all fine. Fairways were clean and provided good lies and roll out all round. Traps were all clean and playable. Very little rough to deal with but there are enough water holes, small culverts/valleys and OB to contend with that will and can make your round a nightmare. Greens were in some of the best conditions I have seen them. They were all mowed, held shots, released shots, chipped/putted with about speed of about 10 and totally devoid of divots, other than the ones we made which we repaired. Customer service was a tad slow this AM which is unusual for this course IMO. Good day of golf on a well conditioned course.

Course is fun if you like target golf courses. Upscale course needs better employee training as they were clueless in pro shop. We came on senior special deal but course is way overpriced at regular rate.

Was out today early to beat the heat. And we just made it. Course is in good shape presently but 10/22 - 24 aertion is back. We had nor heard any tee box issues. Fairways were damp early and inhibited roll but provided good lies. Within 1 hour they where rolling out pretty good. Traps were all playable and heard no excuses (well a couple but this is a family site). Greens were in very nice shape (including # 15 nice job superintendent) and held shots, released shots and chipped/putted great all round. They have a new fleet of very nice carts but currently w/o GPS. So bring your own. Great customer service as always (thanks Parker).

Fairways had good coverage decent roll and good lies all round. Greens were all in good shape. Held shots, released shots and chipped/putted with good speed all round. 10/22 and 23 aeration. Course seems to be getting more play recently?

played fri 9/22, 8am 3some, 4 hr round. Beautiful day. Haven't played here in maybe 10 years. I forget how fun it is. We played the blue tees, par 70 5600 yds.. which I figured is equivalent to par 72 6500. Super hilly course with a great view of the city. I think it's a shot makers course. I count 6 holes where you shouldn't use driver if you are longer than 230. Only 2 par 5s. The par 3s are awesome, and 2 are short, 2 are long irons. Greens bumpy and soft, running a fast 10. The course overall in great shape. I had fun. I think this is the best value in OC, when you consider price and quality.

played earlier this week. friendly check in and starter. layout here is tight but most holes you don't really need driver. tees were in good condition from the black. fairways tight and in good condition. i don't remember too much rough to speak of. bunkers were filled with nice fluffy sand, easy to splash out of, but ball will plug if it comes in too steep. greens were running medium speed, good condition and rolled pretty true. 15th green still an issue with half of it being sanded and under repair and the other half still not where it should be. pop wasn't too bad, 4h for an early afternoon start. good day out there.

We played today. Other than the course being damp early, the course was in good shape. Only issue at this time is # 15 green which seems to still be having problems with providing a good putting service. They are aerating and sanding it to bring it back into shape. No issues with any tee boxes. Traps were all clean and playable. Rough was high outside fairways and around greens and sticky. Fairways were all mowed and clean providing good lies with little roll out on front until sun came out and then they gave great roll out. All greens were great for chipping and putting and holding shots. Excellent customer service in the shop, at the starters booth and in the dining room.
