this course used to be the only course worth over a 100.00 green fee boy has it gone down hill. practice facility great except bag of balls 11.00 dollars bag boys great club house great but i didnt come here for that the course is beat only worth 50.00 i am sorry........

I like this course, but for the past 2 years the fairways are thin and spotty. This ruins the fun of playing an otherwise great golf course.

I have not played here in couple years, Thee fairways are domant, so obvioulsy they must not have overseeded them, while the rough was very lush. I did not remember the bunkers as being as deep and severe as they are. Maybe I just ended up in some very difficult lies? I consider myself a good bunker player, but they presented everything I could handle and more. Greens were decent, but disappointly slow for my taste. Given the cost to play here, I kind of expected the course to be somewhat empty ...... not! It was packed! So much for the poor economy??

Played Oak Creek on 12/5...9am tee time. Got to the course early to warm up (literally since it's been so cold) and teed off right on time. This course is really a lot of fun to play. It has a great layout and, most likely as a result of the higher cost for green fees, it's well maintained. The fairways seem to be transitioning for winter and are thus browner in color, yet the rough is still green which makes for a nice looking contrast. The fairways are still perfectly lush and playable, just a bit more brown than green. The greens and tee boxes were in great shape as were the traps. In light of the course conditions, and with Rich ending up with the out-of-bounds coin, it made for a great day.

The course is in good shape. The greens are fast and smooth overall. (There were MANY ball marks on the greens- I can't understand how people play these great greens and don't respect the other people playing them). There are some craters on the greens, I don't mean to stress it but the greens are so nice right now. The fairways are browned but still very nice. bunkers are good, sand is kinda thick and fluffyish. The fairway bunkers sand on 16 and 17 give you a real challenge. its kinda hard underneath and grainy sand on top. Rough is a challenging, its probably around an 1.5 to 2 inches and thick. Many holes call for draws, and some call for fades, and it will challenge you every time.

We played on the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 27. Greens were great! Smooth and semi-fast. Fairways were in transition from Bent to Rye (? honestly, not sure if I've got the grasses right?)... Continue »

We played on the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 27. Greens were great! Smooth and semi-fast. Fairways were in transition from Bent to Rye (? honestly, not sure if I've got the grasses right?). Lies in the fairways were often tight and with little grass underneath. Regardless, a good day of golf and worth the $105 that we paid as a preferred player. I highly recommend Oak Creek.

Played on 9/30 (weekday). After paying we were advised that we would be starting on the back 9 and "a few" holes were cart path only. Maintenance was being performed on the rough. More than a few holes were cart path only on the front (back) 9 and it took us 2 hrs. and 50 minutes to play as players had to trudge as much as 40 yards back and forth to and from their balls. On holes that were open throughout the course the cart line was as much as 150 yards out from the green. The second 9 improved to 2 hrs and 20 minutes. The Marshall tried but could do nothing.

My golf buddy went back week of 10/19 and he told me this time, after paying, they were apprised that all holes were cart path only and that you could not hit your ball out of the rough. You must drop it back on the fairway and then proceed! Is this golf?

This is on top of the fact that you now have to pay 4 bucks to use their practice putting green in the practice area. But the good news is that you can get a small bag of balls to hit for a mere $13.

played in the morning on an online discount. course is kept up in good condition, though there are some brown patches through the fairways. didn't matter much as the grass was still there, no bare spots. their touted customer service was minimal, no one helped from the car or back with the clubs and the starter looked confused on the first tee. greens are running slow, making putting fairly easy. could be from the recent aeration. i liked the layout, with challenging greens and bunker placement, though most tee shots were fairly routine and unremarkable from the black tees. fairways were large and forgiving. overall, a nice place to play. wouldn't pay their rack rate though.

I just played this course and it is very dry and not in the best shape. The front was just recently aerated. I still love the course, but the drought is killing this place.
