Has a great mix of flat and elevated holes, the scenery is fantastic, and the course was in really good shape! Greens rolled true and pretty quick. Would have been a great day, except that it took us 5.5 hours to get through 15 HOLES.....we quit after that. There were no marshalls out enforcing pace of play, which would have done the trick as we found that we when we went in, it was one group two ahead of us that was 3 holes behind. We passed them up (at this point now just a twosome since we left our group to go in) and decided to play 18 real quick since no one was there. You can see #17 green from the 18th green and we found that, even though we were a twosome, we played 18 (a par 5) from tee to green in the amount of time it took the slow group to simply get on #17 green.....which is a par 3. Aside from the good course conditions, it was a very frustrating day given that we payed for 18 holes and could only get through 15. The course needs to do a better job of marshalling.
Played Oak Creek on 12/5...9am tee time. Got to the course early to warm up (literally since it's been so cold) and teed off right on time. This course is really a lot of fun to play. It has a great layout and, most likely as a result of the higher cost for green fees, it's well maintained. The fairways seem to be transitioning for winter and are thus browner in color, yet the rough is still green which makes for a nice looking contrast. The fairways are still perfectly lush and playable, just a bit more brown than green. The greens and tee boxes were in great shape as were the traps. In light of the course conditions, and with Rich ending up with the out-of-bounds coin, it made for a great day.
Played Dos Lagos the day after thanksgiving. Our tee time was 10:50 but, due to it being one of the busiest days to play, they were behind 45 min. No fault of theirs. The course was decent...nothing great that stood out and nothing really to complain about. Fairways and greens were both pretty normal and the sand, sans some wet spots, was good. I was very pleased with the price to play: $59.
Date of play: 11/22/09
Tee time: 9:30am
Pace: 4 hrs.
This course was truly wonderful. This was the first time I've played here and, to be honest, it left me with fond memories. The fairways were lush, the greens were rolling true with a perfect speed, and the pace was fantastic. We didn't have to wait on one hole and no one was pushing us. Add the fact that the weather was ideal and it all made for an absolutely enjoyable round. If you're thinking about playing here, you'll be glad you did.

Played this course on 11/14/09. Course was in great shape. Fairways were nice and lush albeit with a few harder spots, greens rolled true, and bunkers were just right. Only bummer, though, was that our tee time was 12pm, but they were backed up about 45 min and we didn't end up starting till around 1pm. For this reason we, unfortunately, weren't able to finish the round, but we got through 16 holes nonetheless. All things considered, Golf Club at Glen Ivy is a great place to play right now.
Played Hidden Valley on 10/31/09 with 10 am tee time. Course was in pretty good shape. Fairways were lush and good to hit from and the greens were the best I've played on in a while. They were soft and very receptive to any type of approach, yet they were fast and rolled true. Sand was good for the most part but tee boxes needed some work. Sometimes hard to find a flat spot from which to hit. Overall, though, it was a good experience. Just make sure you know where you're hitting because there are some definite blind and tricky shots.
