I played tijeras creek both thursday and friday, thursday i played the blue tees and shot a respectable 74 first time at the course and was surprised how fast the greens where they putted excellent thou, you just had to use the lump three feet above my ass, and i was better. Played Friday with Paul Fuzzard and two really good guys and i am so bad with names i forgot. Played the black tees and played real well on the front a stupid double bogey but otherwise the course was magnificent. The back we got into wind and i will tell you people it was tought i was 6 over after 14 and it was tough. A true test of golf, to make i easier to explain no one broke 80 out of 20 guys who can play. That friends is tough. The whole atmosphere today was unbeleivable i had the time of my life, gentleman who told stories, shared jokes, laughed and sometimes said a swear word on a shot or two lol, it was one of the top 3 times for me at the golf course. Thank you Tijeras Creek outstanding customer service, Thank you to Paul and the guys i cant wait to do this again.

Played friday at 11am. Saw the beverage girls at least 10 times. BBQ at the turn had tri tip sandwiches. Most excellent my friend. Pace of play a little slower on the back. Check in with facebook and your range balls are free. But you have to tell the pro shop. The range shack was not on the ball. Greens quick with many unrepaired ball marks. But rolled true. Made 5 birds today. Fairwasy were firm and I always had a good lie. Bnkers and rough were excellent. Definitely a must play right now.

As the Fuzz reported earlier, the course is in good shape now that the rains have subsided. Good roll on the fairways can put you in places you didn't want to be, ie., #4 can get in the water if you'... Continue »

As the Fuzz reported earlier, the course is in good shape now that the rains have subsided. Good roll on the fairways can put you in places you didn't want to be, ie., #4 can get in the water if you're near the right bunker. Speaking of bunkers, lot's of hardpan out there ... they need some work. Greens were great, #14 needs a couple more weeks to open completely ... we need to repair our ball marks throughout. Really enjoy playing that back nine.

Played Wed afternoon 1/12/11. Course has dried out nicely. Lots more roll in the fairways than previous week. They have cut the fairways and more improtantly the rough. Greens still have too many unrepaired ball marks. Because they were cart path only for so long there are also a bunch of unrepaired divots in the fairways. Marshall came by 4 times to give us extra sand bottles. We did what we could.

Only half of the 14th green is open. They had to re-sod most of it. Left side of the green is ground under repair. Right side is a little bumpy and slow.

Overall course is in very good condition and customer service is top notch.

I agree with the previous post, the TCreek is open and very playable, but watch the rough. Until they can run mowers thru that soft earth, it is thick making it difficult to find your ball, so spot i... Continue »

Until they can run mowers thru that soft earth, it is thick making it difficult to find your ball, so spot it closely. I played 12/31 and they were offering a free round of golf for the person who hit closest to the temp pin on #14 ... my buddy hit one to 14" but someone else had hit to 12. Almost had it.

Played here 12/28. Hole 14 was a temporary 76yd hole while they fix a collapsed drain under the regular green. Course was in very good shape and has drained well. The floods really did damage to the vegetation on the back nine but kudos to the course superintendent and staff for making the course playable.

They've cut the greens down to a real nice pace, enjoy it while you can. The rough, however, is brutal ... gotta keep it in the fairway at all costs. Played Sunday mid-morning in just less than 5 hours on a very cool, windy day. Very challenging right now, and it's it great shape ... have fun.

Played Monday at first light. Very cold and very windy (Which was the only reason I was allowed to get out. Plus I agreed to walk and forgo the cart. If there was no wind there would have been lots of frost. The course was a bit "scruffy" but considering the time of year and our recent weather, not too bad. Staff was wonderful and despite the lousey weather, had an enjoyable time. Always enjoy this track, but playing in cold and wind made it a bit more difficult than normal.

Course open, cartpaths only for another week. They offer a nice discount but ... WARNING ... fairways still growing out and greens shaggy ... okay if you know what you're getting into before you tee it up. Pro shop guy told me they should cut things back to normal next week, so by Thanksgiving holiday it should be in great shape. We played Sunday, teed off at noon and finished at 4:30pm.
