Just two of us today, 1130 tee time and 3+30 pace, on a quiet day, but still good service and drinks cart attendance.
Bermuda is coming alive on course, in fairways, rough and tees. All grass lush; rough one inch, fairways running long, greens firm and not marking with medium fast pace. Sand was terrific. Good manicuring and maintenance throughout. Nice resort layout with sufficient challenge and pleasant vistas. Very enjoyable with deals this time of year.

Played here this morning - $59 on a Golfnow time and I thought it was well worth it given the conditioning and layout of this nice resort course. Had the 6:00 tee time and was paired with another single and a twosome. We enjoyed a nice pace at exactly 4 hours. We actually would have finished quicker, but they put out a "VIP" group ahead of us at 5:50. As pacesetters, they were rather slow and we had to wait on most every shot. Otherwise, things were great at Desert Springs. I was anxious to come back and play the Palm course after experiencing pristine conditions on Valley just a few weeks ago. Things were maybe just a tad below that visit, but still exceptional. Course is green, lush and beautiful from tee to green. Really, really nice. The greens were a little firm and a little slow on putts, but that's a minor complaint. Overall, I was very impressed again. If I only could pick one, I would choose Valley over Palm as I personally think it's a little better course on all levels. But Palm was still a very enjoyable, scenic and challenging layout and it finishes really strong. Holes 15-18 are beautiful, tough and exciting with water in play on every shot on each hole. My only other complaint was there is no GPS, there were no pin placement sheets in the carts and no hole maps on either the scorecard or signs Not sure if they sell yardage books, but you may consider one if you are a precise player. It definitely cost me a few strokes when I didn't know there was water within reach. When I played Valley recently, I don't recall ever feeling like I was playing "blind" like I did a few times today. Oh well.

Played The Palm course on 4/2 and didnt get out till 4:05 due to late check in. Guy getting the clubs were very nice and fun to talk to. There was no body on the course so it was like playing by your self. Very underrated layout and should get more credit than it does. The tee boxe were very hard but had a fair amount of grass. The fairways were perfect and the rough was the same. Sand looked pearly white and there was plenty of it. Greens were very firm and were hard to read. They were good but not great. Overall a fun course to play in a short amount of time. (Our round POP was only 3:15 !!!!)

Overall good to great conditions right now at the Palm Course.

Beautifully manicured and lush throughout with great sand in bunkers and smooth but firm greens running medium pace (under 10). Nice staff, lots of drinks cart passes, and a pace of our 3 ball just over 4+35 on a busy day tee time 0935.
Nice resort layout kept it interesting. Worth a look.

Played 9/26 @ 11:30 am. With more courses in PS area closing for overseeding, many players were out on Palm course. We waited on most holes from 3rd and finished 18 in about 5 hours. From tee to green course is in great condition. We were most surprised by the smooth medium speed on all the greens at this time of the year. Nice scenic resort course. Highly recommend.

Just two of us this morning, 0900, quiet day; few golfers - maybe the heat?
Service-great; prac-fac, great; staff-great; layout-fun; conditions-very Good tees to greens. Greens have fully recovered, smooth, medium speed, even holding well. Everything else presented lush and well manicured. Great sand.
Lots of drinks cart passes, plenty of water stations and a quick pace of 3+20 made for a fine day.

Great shape all around. Got in just before the greens aeration today, with 3 others.
All aspects from check in to play were first class. The greens were smooth and medium speed. All grass lush and manicured. Beautiful sand all bunkers. Lots of drinks cart passes, good pace at 4+15, and good challenge from any tee. Give it a month for the greens to heal. For $20 golfnow Hot Deal, I can put up with 102F.

Played Monday morning, 6/25/12. First time playing the course and I left impressed overall. Tee boxes, fairways, rough and especially the sand traps - were all immaculate. Frankly, I was amazed that they keep the majority of the course in such amazing condition given the heat. The greens, however, were a slow bumpy mess. It looked like they had been aerated in the somewhat not too distant past and they were not recovering well. Given the overall attention paid to conditioning, I'm assuming that they'll get the greens back into shape shortly.

Course layout was straightforward and pleasing to the eye. Big wide fairways and short rough. Lots of water and bunkers, but if you play a smart round of golf you can easily work your way around them. Have to mention the bunkers again. Because I play most of my golf in the San Diego area where it seems like all you ever get is thin hardpan sand traps, I've lost all of my bunker-play confidence and become spooked about playing out of traps. The sand traps at Desert Springs are so lush, light and soft that it rekindled my joy of bunker play and rebuilt my confidence (for now) out of the sand. By the end of the round I was actually looking forward to hitting sand shots to see how close I could get them.

Customer service was spot on. Lots of trips by the staff to offer free fruit and ice cold towels, etc. For the $39 I paid, it is more than a great deal and I will definitely play it again when the opportunity presents itself.

Nice course, worth about am 8.5 for condition except for the greens which were worth about a 2. The front side was thick with sand while the backside had many, many barespots and holes. It was easier putting through the sand dunes than through the peaks and valleys of the final 9 holes. No way that they should have let the greens get so bad, with the rest odf the course condition in reasonable shape. Only saving grace was that I paid $14 by reserving through EZLINKS with a 25% discount.
