First off let me just say that I'm in no way a decent golfer; so this rating may not apply to the more serious lower handicap golfers.

I booked a T-Time on golf now for $13.00 on Monday 8/5/13, and played again on Wednesday 08/07/13. The course is actually in pretty good shape, of course it could use some work - but so can Redhawk and Hidden Valley I guess what I mean to say is the course wasn't SO bad that it would impede your play. I have noticed over the last few months playing there that the course condition is improving.

Anyway, I snapped a few photos out on the course, so people can see what it looks like now.

Don't bother coming here. The tee boxes are absolutely awful shape, most fairways are not good. Lots and lots of dirt patches. The greens were actually "ok", but it wasn't enough to save the experience for me. The rough and grass around the greens is mostly kikuyu which in my opinion is more of a weed. Not very fun to play in that. Teeboxes especially on par threes were just awful. No grass and un-level. Just terrible. Also, there's literally no bunkers at this course. And I mean, there's bunkers there, but they are un-maintained. They're literally rock hard and have weeds and grass growing in them. I played them as ground under repair. Overall not a fun place to play. And even if it was $40 on a Saturday morning with cart, it was also 95º and I'd just rather pay a little more to go somewhere else.

Played Sunday 3/10/13. After finishing an early morning round at Diamond Bar, my partner and I headed to Cresta Verde for an $25 second round of golf. What a nightmare!! We went from awesome Diamond Bar to the Hell of golf at Cresta Verde. I just want to forget about that place. It's more like a Motocross/BMX Track. Layout is ridiculous! Fairways and Rough don't exist, nothing but hard pan and dirt. The bunkers resemble dug-up holes in the ground. Just to be fair, I'll give the Greens a little credit, they were puttable?...My partner and I didn't even play our stroke/skins game, we were so disappointed. We played best-ball just to finish and get outta there! Live and Learn!

Previous golfers have unduly maligned this course. It plays well and is coming back well from when
I played it early in the year. I play all over I.E. and for the money it is good value. Layout takes getting used to as there are many ups and downs, twists and turns. Don't understand why "golfers"
are down on this golf course.

Play here every so often, the price is right-$24 for seniors. You get what you pay for here. The Fairways for the most part are grass, there are some holes on the back nine which need help, bare spots, weeds etc. The tee boxes are mostly level and well maintained. The greens were were well taken care of but the speed varied from hole to hole. The traps were among the poorest I've seen. I found the staff to be courteous and attentive. Got me out as a single immediately.

I played there Friday and Monday. the tee box's are in bad shape. Half of the fairways are dead. The greens are in great shape. The pace was fast which is always great. The staff is not so good. Friday they ignored us for a few minutes so they could finish there bubble gum conversation. Monday they made us wait 10 minutes to tee off. There was no one in front of us. So there was no reason to make us wait. The staff is very smug.

This could be considered a "hardscrable" course----Indeed no country club but interesting and challenging----It takes me back to courses I played as a youngster---If you like golf just for the fun of batting the ball around and trying those impossible shots you will enjoy this course. If you are into lush courses with plush amenities you will hate this course. For what it is and the price it is fun, but don't arrive with high expectations just enjoy it for what it is. Golf--The old fashioned way !

Played here on 3/16/12 with a 7:20 tee time. My playing partner doesn't have a great memory of courses or use Greenskeeper for info on conditions. We alternate setting tee times. I had purposely stayed away because of prior experiences almost a year ago. I reminded him of our last round while in parking lot and decided to make the best of it. I had read prior reviews and its been confirmed. Conditions are much worse than they were a year ago. The 1st tee box was okay but it went downhill quickly. The 2nd tee box was all dirt...causing partner to loose footing in both feet during shot. The fairways were dry and mostly dead roots. Fairways also had lots of bare areas. I was in a sand trap on first hole. It was hard panned and full of rocks. Good thing there wasn't a need to rake it when I got out because there wasn't a rake to be found. I didn't see a rake around any sand trap until the 5th hole. The pole was bent near the end of the rake making it useless. A lot of the sand traps had large amounts of grass growing in them. They looked like waste bunkers. Around the greens the maintenance was non existent. I chipped up to a green and landed in a large mound of dirt caused from numerous gopher holes. I did see one maintenance employee driving a skip loader. The greens were actually okay. I have never wanted to leave in the middle of a round due to conditions. I told my partner I was thinking of leaving after #7. Walking off the 9th I informed the group I couldn't waste another 2 hrs. and was leaving. I went into the pro shop and politely expressed my disbelief in the conditions. He politely said "I'm sorry you feel that way". I asked him what he thought and he said the conditions. He compared the course to Eagle Glen, Dos Lagos and some others. I told him the conditions were no where close to what they are at courses mentioned. He then told me "If you think its so bad...why don't you just leave." I said "That's exactly what we we're doing." Went home and did laundry while watching golf. It was a much better experience.

This without a doubt is one of the worst courses I have played in 25 years of golf! Just for starters, the starter didn't show up! The maintenance man told us too tee off and pay at the turn. I wish now he would have just told us to come back later so I wouldn't have wasted my time and money. The fairways didn't have bare spots, they had bare areas that were huge. There was more bare than there was of grass. The greenery( I refer to it as greenery as it was not grass, but clumpy weeds) that was there was extremely thin and clumpy.
Sand traps had no sand, just hard pan dirt. Greens were bumpy but they at least had grass on them. Seriously, I would not play this course again even if it was for free.
