Fair course, But, Not my type of track. The bunkers were soft and the fairways were wet. I loved the lay out but would not pay the high green fee again for this track. Like I said every course has its player but this course is not my cup of tee. Play it for yourself and see if you like it or not.

This is the one of the best courses in Southern Cal! From the tips, it is also one of the toughest! It is worth every penny!!!!

Okay, just showed up here today and wandered into the makeshift proshop looking to get out. Paid and cart was ready with my bag on it and I was off, nice service guys!. The range is all-grass, very nice, plush, balls are all Taylor Made Black. Nice touch. Short game area is stellar and they have a seperate putting green. Very nice practice facility. Probably the best practice facility in all of SoCal. The only drawback is that you have to drive your cart all the way over there, then back-track to the first tee when you're ready. Now, the course. Starts off fairly flatish first 3 holes, kinda like CrossCreek. After the 4th hole you really start going crazy with all the elevation. Up/down all around. Crazy holes. Long ways driving your cart from the green to the next tee boxes. On the 488 yd. par 4 6th hole, your view of the Temecula Valley is spectacular. Then you hit down to a fairway ala Trilogy at Glen Ivy's 18th hole, only much higher. Kinda fun, kinda gimmicky. Next few holes takes you down off the mountain to finish on the par 5 9th hole. You go right by the halfway house to 10 so getting something to eat is easy. The back nine is more flatish, but alot more doglegs. You're reminded where you are as there are smokehouses sprinkled throughout the back nine, so the culture of the Pechanga Indian tribe isn't forgotten here. Then you ascend up again to 17, a 243 yd par 3 that plays downhill but tough as nails. All carry, right is dead and a sliver of a bailout left. Difficult hole, par is stealing a stroke. Then the 18th is again, a bomber's paradise, 431 yd par 4 on a elevated tee hitting down to a fairway like Trilogy's 18th again.

Overall, I enjoyed myself immensly. It was hot, but cart girls came plenty of times with ice cold towels. The condition of the golf course was 100% PERFECT. Tees, fairways were immaculate. Greens are absolutely the best I've putted on in sometime. There are no ball marks, greens are nicer than The Quarry in La Quinta and Stone Eagle down in Palm Desert, and those courses' greens are exquisite. The layout of the course is like a mix of CrossCreek and Lost Canyons, so it's nice, but a little weird. Not my favorite kind of routing for a golf course, but there are worse ones out there...(err..dos lagos and the retreat).. I'd come back, but only when the real clubhouse is done being built. Looks like it might be a few more months, but it does look very, very nice.

BTW, I know the casino is hurting really bad. They're laying off people left and right. So I wonder how this place can stay open, being that they charge 150-200 bucks for a green fee. Hope this place doesn't go belly up as fast as The Retreat in Corona did. But putting on greens like this, it's almost worth the $150. In fact, to be able to play on greens like this, that's a bargain.
