WOW...You owe it to yourself to play this course. It is so unique, and the golf course is maintained at high levels not seen during these times. At first I thought #18 green was a little gimmicky, but each time I'm able to play, I have come to love the unique design's that set this course apart from the others. I'm tired of the same old designs and I actually enjoy driving the cart a 1/2 mile thru the mountain which climbs 300 ft. or so to the 6th tee from 5 green. Good thing I'm not a walker! I understand these guys spent a LOT of money to create the best, I trully recommend that you experience it at least once.

I played this Course on 11-13-2008...only a few days after it was opened to the public...as a birthday present to myself....it was UNBELIEVEABLE...the course was fantastic and the overall experience was an 11 on the scale of 1-10...i could go on and on about the experience but it would be more of the same... I AM VERY VERY VERY PLEASED.

I agree with all previous reviews,, wonderful views, pristene conditions,, staff was terrific, clubhouse is opulant and comfortable. Helen the bartender is teriffic.

The layout is Disneyland at best. The designer put this gem together to cause doubt at almost every shot. Fun,, NO ! a test,, OH Yes. I would return for a good price on fees. But dont need the aggravation for full boat cost.

I played this course three time, twice in August and last Sunday. The first time in September I walked on at 7:00 AM on a Sunday morning and played by myself in about 3 1/2 hours. I was awestruck at this golf course. I felt bad when I took a fairway divot because it was so well manicured. The staff was friendly, I lost a club and they found it and returned it within 40 minutes. I told anyone and everyone what a wonderful place I had discovered.
I returned the following Sunday with my wife for the post 11:00AM twilight rate of $99.00 per person. We played the front 9 in about 2 1/2 hours. We made the turn and stopped dead. Two groups ahead had stopped for lunch and the group in front of us played through. The group we were behind now were two of the hotel employees and their non-golfing girlfriends. The were novices playing from the back tees and taking multiple shots from every location. After two holes we summoned a marshal to complain but despite his best efforts we finished in 5 1/2 hours. I complained to the pro shop staff and they gave me two comp rounds. Fair enough. I still told everyone about this wonderful place.
Now, last Sunday we returned at 11:42. No more 11:00 twilight rate. No problem, I cashed in our comp rounds. We teed off at 12:00 (18 minutes late) and finished at 6:10PM. Never saw a marshal the entire round. The cart girl opined that they were "understaffed" although the two starters teed off on #1 as we made the turn.

I will think twice about a return visit. It's a beatiful venue, not quite worth $200 a pop, and definitely not worth a 6 hour + investment in time.

Played Journey on 08/25/09 at 9:30am. Course was all I expected and more.The staff from the pro shop to the starter were excellant.The course was in perfect shape and the views were awesome! I played for 99$,but they have a deal at 11am for 75$. Just get out there play this great course.Also the driving range,putting and chipping greens were perfect.I could have practiced all day and would have been satisfied.Enjoy!

Played today at 1pm. Played in 2.5 hours. 20-30mph winds. Course is in magnificent shape. Greens are getting faster like the old days. Its my favorite course. Very difficult test of golf i love it!

What an amazing course. Beautiful and serene. Challenging, but fair. Except the greens. Greens always break just a little more than you think. So give it an extra inch of break and speed than you normally would. OB areas are for lost balls. Don't go looking for it. OB areas are full of prickly plants, rattlesnakes, and I saw a coyote walking around. GPS on carts were state of the art. I haven't seen any like it, very nice. It plays a video of each hole as you drive to it. The views from some of the elevated tee boxes are amazing, as you can see for miles and miles. A great place to play. I played at twilight for 1/2 price of typical rates at 3:06 pm as a single and finished at 5:45 pm. Not many people are out there and even playing 2 balls at time, I flew through the course. There are good restaurants in the casino there, one good one that popped on the GPS was an italian spot called Paisano's ;) Bring extra balls here, OB will steal them as well as water here and there, as well as those elevated tee shots are not toward wide fairways.

The course is in great condition! No complaints about any part of the conditioning, expect the greens appeared much quicker than they actually putted. The entire staff was excellent, very friendly and accomodating. When the wind blows, as it always seems too, this course can be a bit difficult.
