The GM has done a lot of work over the past year to bring the course back. The Tee Boxes still need some work and the bunkers have very little sand, but fairways are coming back. The greens roll pretty good compare to awhile ago. That's the good...now the bad. He has hired a bunch of guys in maitainance that have no clue about a golf course and golfers. They are constantly setting up the tee boxes on side hill positions and with trees directly in front of you. They will drive right by you without stopping whether you're hitting a shot or making a putt. One of them carries a mini boom box playing his music. If noise and/or commotion bugs you, these guys will drive you crazy. The course workers here can ruin a good round and take away a fun day. So much for the hard work the GM has put in...

After avoiding Upland Hills for the last two years I took a chance that a weekday mid day would be a safe investment, I was wrong. The course overall is in poor shape with the exception of the greens, they are in good shape. The worst part about this course is customer service, there is none. No marshall and no effort to make your golf experience enjoyable. The round took over 5 hours and there was a wait for EVERY shot. This course should be played in under 4 hours. STAY AWAY, they don't want your business.

Upland hills is my go to course if I dont want to drive far to get a round in. Its unfortunate that its so expensive in the am, and twilight... I personally dont think this course is worth the $40, $38, and 25 dollars to play. BUT if you go at twilight or super twilight and pay $18-22 to play its totally worth it. The greens are just not maintained well. Some holes have some decent fairways and Tee boxes but not all of them. Its a short easy course for any level. It is challenging in the fact that its very tight (the front more than the back) houses all around you but it makes the round that much more interesting. Pace is decent there. Not a bad course for $22 and below. I would not pay more than $25 to play there.

Played this past weekend 3/8/14. Saw the reviews and was hesitant but the groupgolfer deal was fantastic. Anyway I felt the course was more than playable. Fairways were green and a few bare spots here and there but they were pretty good. Tee boxes were a bit beat up but they were not horrible. The greens were SLOW but rolled decent. I think my expectations were very low but for 25 dollars on a Saturday at 10:15 it was a almost an unbeatable deal. Pace of play was 4.5 hours which was better than expected on the weekends. We had a fun round and the conditions were decent and much better than expected.

Played 2/2/14 at 8:40 AM. We followed the men's club and they were very slow. Management let a group of 6, 5 and 5 out in front of us. There is no excuse for this. I hadn't played here in over a year due to poor conditions and management issue. I decide to give it another try because when the course is in good condition it is a good challenge due to the narrow fairways.
This was a mistake. Not sure if I will return.

Well...the course is finally coming back. As Tournament Director for the Men's Club, it has been very embarrasing to have to play "lift, clean and place" for the past year. I've been a strong critic of the conditions for the past year, but the G.M. Mike Winn, has been working his tail off trying to restore the quality of play. The fungus problems on the greens have been taken care of and they are starting to putt smooth and fast. The fairways are still probably a few months away from being full...but playing here has become fun again. The guys in the shop are always very courteous and friendly. Our little Gem is starting to have a little sparkle again.

Well, first I would like to say this will be my first review ever written. I don't typically give reviews because I'm not entirely confident in my ability to give a proper assessment. That being said, I felt this time it was necessary. This was by far and away the worst course I have ever played! Don't bother trying to read the greens, I quickly realized the patches, dead spots, and divots made putting straight impossible. Fairways were patchy with many different types of grass, also lots of strange looking damage caused by what, I
don't know. Bunkers were deeply packed,i guess sand, impossible to get under ball. I saw two shots by partner, one by myself hit middle of bunker and bounce out, lol! Worst of all, I paid $44 on golfnow. I felt cheated to be honest. Considering I played jurupa hills cc last week with no discount for $46 at same time, and could have played either yucaipa valley, shandin hills, san bernardino gc, and a couple others for the same price or less. I will nevei don't ever see myself playing there again for more than $20, extremely disappointed in all.

Just don't do it. I played there yesterday (5/19). Not good.

As previous reviews have stated, the greens are just in a horrible state. I would say half of them had sand on them. I could live with the bad tee boxes and spotty fairways but greens that bad take the whole fun out of playing.

Sad part is, it's actually a nice layout. It's not a long course but it could be fun to play, if they can bring it back to life.
