Played 6/19/20 early morning. Check in easy. Mask inside pro shop. A shorter venue in the inland empire. Played with Scratchman in GK Cup match. Greens decent poa but slower than higher priced venues. Fairways mix of everything green grass clover dry areas rough a bit deeper than fairways 2” no trouble extracting from it. Bunkers sandy with firm dirt not great but workable. Trees lining tight holes and homes and condos all throughout.
It is a good value priced easy laying course. Busy Fathers day weekend made it full tee sheet in morning. POP was 4:15 but seemed slow as twosome inside four somes. Left us nowhere to pass through.
Lots of local play by retired people appears to be the clientele. Good venue to play and enjoy it for the course it is. Nice clubhouse facilities decent $ track not a championship course not trying to be.
Recommend in that context

I've played Upland Hills twice since the big re-open. No rakes, raised cups, don't touch the pins and no mask is required or at least not being enforced. Beware that this is apparently true for the staff as well. Pro shop guy was not wearing a mask, nor were the servers on the patio. I was actually really surprised that it was crowed and no distancing that I could see. Anyway, I wasn't a part of that. On to golf. The course REALLY needs water on the fairways. They weren't to bad the first time I played here but are now getting really hard and dry. The bunkers, even without the rakes, are not too bad. People seem to be smoothing out their foot prints pretty well. The Greens are good here. They rolled nice and true at a medium pace. POP was good at 4 hours. Had a good time on a very windy afternoon. I do however think that this course is overpriced for the conditions, and the staff should be taking the covid thing a bit more serious. If you are a paranoid person, stay off the crowded patio on the weekends.

Played this AM early. Started 2nd but 1st group waved me through and the course was mine. Some light rain as I finished. Found the course to be in very nice shape. $37 senior rate (with cart) seemed very reasonable. But it is certainly walkable but I did not see a walking rate posted? Excellent customer service at all levels. While not an overly long course by today's standards, it does provide a good challenge, given many of the OB's, trees and water on the course. Tee boxes were fine. Fairways are good (not lush) but good lies and roll out. Bunkers looked good. Very little rough to deal with. Greens were very nice, but damp even after being cut. And enjoyable course that should appeal to almost all golfers. I really like their par 3's as they are all different in design, length and challenge.

Played here on 2/1/20. My friend and I were the first ones off the tee box and tee'd off at 6:30am as soon as it was light. This used to be my home course until i moved so i was fairly excited to play. We had played here about 3 months prior and loved it. This time..... it was in fair conditions.

Fairways- 8/10 good coverage some spots were thin with mud
Greens- 9/10 a few ball marks on some that werent fixed from the previous day but greens rolled true.
Sand-10/10 The sand was really good and fluffy. No sign of rocks anywhere in them and they were level and challenging.
Rough- 5/10 some had grass and some were sticks and rocks...
Tee Boxes- 1/10- THIS WAS BY FAR THE MOST CHEWED UP TEE BOXES I have ever seen! Every single box wasnt level, terrible damage etc. I am a player who hits off the mat so it was extremely frustrating to try and find a decent spot. By far the worst conditions of a tee box at Upland I have ever seen. I was contemplating going into the club house to let them know about tee boxes but decided I didnt want to be "That Guy."

No cart girl when we played and clubhouse staff was friendly. We paid $50 and like the previous reviewer said its a good track but paying the premium rate for weekend is not worth it. This course should be a $40 course at best. It's only a par 70. If they could fix their tee boxes I would consider paying $50 again.

We played Upland Hills on Sunday afternoon. This course meanders through a nice neighborhood, and plays tight up against it. Most all holes are tree-lined on both sides (and that saves more than a few windows). I enjoyed this course. It often plays tight off of the tee, but you've got a chance to get it close if you keep it in the fairway. It's a flat-ish course, but the design keeps your interest. The holes near the clubhouse (and the clubhouse itself) are very sharp. It looks like it gets a lot of play, and I kept that in mind when I did my detailed review. I wouldn't pay the prime rate to play it on the weekend, but it is worth the other fees. I would recommend it to my fellow golfers. Enjoy!

Played today. 2nd off and once I got past the rude 3 in front of me, who would not let me through for several holes, I was done in under 3 H as I had the course to myself. Having not played here in a year, wanted to see the changes made to the course, after land was sold to build more homes (next to # 10). IMO they did a great job. On the front, the changes include a water hazard on # 6 a Par 5 that will come into play to the right of the green, when hitting your 3rd shot to the green. # 8 has a water hazard running along the left side of the fairway, that will come into play with an errant drive (nice touch). # 9 is now a par 3 (147 B, 123 M, 92 F). The pond that was there is still there, the green was raised up, new bunker on the left, a fun hole. # 10 is now a short Par 3, tee box higher than the green (112 B, 108 M, 9 B) as they used the fairway for houses and put the tee box up closer and behind # 8 (for those of you who have played there). But the large bunker was lengthened and MUST be carried and the culvert is also still in play, if you come up short (fun hole). Back 9 is all the same. I found the condition of the course to be in very good shape. Tee boxes were all good. Fairways were green, though some brown spots appear, but everything is all grass, no dirt spots. Lies were good (IMO) and roll out was good as well. Was in one trap and that was fine. Noticed that some were still wet from watering (as were some of the fairways) but they looked playable. Not deep rough outside the fairways/greens and it was playable. Greens were very good and they chipped/putted nicely and had good speed. Customer service was excellent at all levels. Senior rate with cart $35. Be careful if you book online, as there was some conflict with the computer system to change my online rate to senior rate (no doubt they will clear that up?). Course is recommended and it appears to be very quite for we early golfers. Did not have time to try any food but I asked a local about the food service and they said it was very good. I would say this would be an acceptable option for the loss of Empire Lakes to the area (IMO). Of course not the same quality of E L (for those who found offense) but it is another golf course. I enjoyed the course (as I always did when it was a par 72) and will look forward to playing it more often.

Played here 5/31/18 at 3:30pm twilight. Well, what can I say? This was the best/worst of both worlds. Pros- The greens were excellent ( a little slow for speed) but manicured perfectly. Very little if no divots. The fairways were green and lush with a dry spot occasionally but overall would give the fairways a 8/10 Tee Boxes were excellent. Spongy flat and green with very little noticeable damage. Cons- MARK! The guy at the front was the rudest man I have ever encountered at a golf course. He told me it's only 17 holes today so I kindly asked if we could play hole #1 or #18 twice so that we get all 18. He said "NO" yet there was absolutely NO ONE on the course!!!! I was paying the twilight rate for 18 holes on my receipt except it was only 17. He then proceeded to tell me our cart had to be turned in by 7:30pm. It's not dark until 8:15!!! Not only that but I then asked if we could tee off later since there was no one behind us. He says "NO" In case we have walk -on people. Service definitely could have been better. He finally did give us a $2.00 discount after I complained about everything. PS- This course is under heavy maintenance on holes #9 and #10. They are both closed. They turned #9 into a par 3 which is about 100 yard hole. I was told for the next 6 months it will be 17 holes #1-8 still the same, #9 shortened to par 3 and then #11-18 still the same. They are building 90 condos on the course. This will either be very good for the course as far as revenue and they can use it to really make it awesome or it's going to ruin the course and everything and everyone around it.

Was in the area today and decided to stop in? I did not realize that it had been 2 years since I last played here (wow). Got right out and played the 1st 9 in 1 hour and then it took 2 hours to play the back (oh well, nice day and 3 H is good). Course is in relatively good shape. Tee boxes were all clean/level. Fairways were green, firm with good roll out, but there were areas of brown beginning to show, with the warm weather. Rough is only about 1/4 inch high and playable. Bunkers were not in good shape, however. The 2 I was in were hard and compacted and noticed almost all of them appeared to be like that (they need some TLC). Greens were very nice looking, but putted slow and appeared to need mowing (and the poa annua was growing). Customer service excellent at all levels. This may be a short course, but it is a fun layout and enjoyable to play.
