The new G.M.'s work is starting to show. The staff is great and the course is finally coming back to what it used to be like. The fairways have grass, the greens are rolling fine and they are doing work on the tee boxes. The bunkers, however are still rock hard with little sand in them. One big negative is the new company (Wedgewood Banquets) that took over the food services. And now the course makes you pay $5 for food with your greenfees, regardless if you want to eat or not. They have streamlined the menu into barely nothing...so make sure you eat before you come. Roach coaches serve better food.

Play this course this morning at 6:52 am, we finish in 3/1/2 hours .Fairways were not that bad, paid 40 bucks to play, Greens were in good shape,you must be able to put the in the middle of the fairway most of the time. I would rate this course a 6.50 and will come and play again

Played in a tournament today, was supose tee off at about 10:00 got out about 11:40. The course is not in the greatest shape. Cart paths in many places need repair. A lot of brown areas in the fairways. A lot of ball marks on the greens. One of the lakes has no water, others are low. Have not play here in many years, and it appears to have gone down hill. Price was good, pace of play not bad.

played as a 2some early SAt morning. was fortunate to get the 1st tee time and therefore was able to finish in under 3 hours. greens has lots of bare spots left from previously unrepaired ball marks. greens were fast and hard to read at times. short course. the par5s are reachable in 2. and yes, we did manage to see maintenance crew who happen to drive thru our fairway while we were getting ready to tee off. staff were not friendly (maybe they just woke up and still not had their coffee yet).
did not see beverage cart. will be back for the right price.

Played 6/1/11, got on with a great rate on EZlinks. Place wasn't as bad as the reviews said it was. The previous reviews about the maintainance workers was spot on. They're very inconsiderate, they will just start up their mowers regardless of what you're doing at the time. The only reason that this course is on my radar is because of the price. It's a little far for me to drive, I would rather go to Empire Lakes or even Sierra Lakes, both are really close by.
The skinny - Greens rolling well, on the faster side. Fairways o.k, but thin. Ruff not very penal, sand not consistent at all. Tee boxes unlevel. If you can get a good rate, save it for a better course.

It is worse than Whispering lakes. The grounds keeper rode up on #15 while I was trying to putt and just kept right on. I said something to the clown and he only smiled and kept going.
On the next par 3. I pulled shot to the left, as I approached to chip my shot. Another guy rides up to rake the sand while I am trying to hit my ball 10' away.
What the heck is wrong with management? This course used to be a great course to play. Now it is run down and in sad shape.
I think that was the last time I play there.
Not worth the aggravation dealing with rude employees there.
If the owners ever read the reviews? Then maybe they could get a hint and turn the course around. But I doubt it seeing the email complaint I sent in did nothing.

The greens are currently aerated but it still rolls pretty decent. Full recovery will probably be a week or two. Pace of play was less than 3 and half hours. Saw the beverage cart numerous times even though there wasnt many groups out on the course. We received free pastries before we teed off. Not the best condition or layout of the course, but still had fun. This course is old school.

This course used to be in great shape. I don't know what happened the last few years but it is as bad as Whispering sludge pits. (lakes).
I was getting to putt on hole 10 and the groundskeeper rode up on the mower. He didn't even acknowledge I was getting ready to make a putt. I backed off and he didn't even stop. He kept right on going. Couple holes later the guy rode up and went to do the same thing once again to me until I gave him a nasty look and he finally stopped.
This course for whatever reason is a lost cause until they change personnel and get someone who knows how to take care of the course.
Hopefully than can restore it to the way it once was.
One good point in it all, the guy behind the counter is always polite. And the girls in the snack bar as well.

Played Sat 3/19 a twosome. Noon for $30 to ride. Course is in very good condition. This is the time to play it if you are in the area, Very slow in the front 9. Played behind a very slow 4some but got ahead of them at the turn and everything sped up. Really enjoy playing this course. Will be back very soon.
