The entire course was in very good shape overall.... the greens were lightning fast!! I'd go as far as say that the greenspeeds were the toughest part of this course. Rolled very true and though I must've hit 12 or 13 greens in regulation, I three-putted three times!, and one from about 10 ft!!!
Despite the greens being that extreme-fast, this course is one of the gems in this area. Great service, great layout with varying types of holes each with their own distinctive character, and a decent challenge even for the low-handicappers. Highly recommend this course to all, 'especially' considering the moderate greenfees which is probably the best value in this entire region.

I've played a couple times in the last month and it was an overall great experience. The staff was friendly, and helpful. Checking in was great, Dan was funny and efficient . I was even greeted by the cart barn and told where to go next. I couldn't believe the price, 29$ on a Sunday, was a bargain! Course was in great shape, I will be back!!!!

Already played this course 5 times this year. Course knowledge can be a big factor, but the GPS (included in greens fee) is a big help, too. The hole placements are excellent, usually very challenging. The greens are in overall good shape; I fault those players who walk onto the green without repairing the marks. Same goes for the many divots in the fairway. No excuse. The cart barn furnishes adequate sand bottles, and there are bottles available to exchange at the turn. Personnel here are outstanding in every position. Great, great value!

The reviews for this course seem to be varying, so, I decided to take my chances and golf there today.

The course is in the worse condition I have seen it in. Thin was the word of the day. Thin fairways with many small dirt gaps. Thin tee boxes some of them with barely any grass on them and almost no sand in many of the bunkers. Makes the tee game fun. Hit it and watch it fly and roll. However, there is a really good chance you will end up on a bald spot for your next shot.

The greens? Thin as well, but in good shape. Personally, I find fast greens fun. However, the pin placements are questionable. We saw many pins at odd angles and one pin that was only 5 yards in from the edge.

I would not call it a dogtrack, but, it does need some attention or some time to bring it back to the level it used to be.

I played Yucaipa at the end of last week and had a great round of golf.

I played with a group of guys and when we left the house the wind was howling and I was thinking...this is going to suck all day with the 40mph winds in my face. Then we arrived at YVGC and NO WIND. The pro said it was the box canyon they are in...anyway I was amazed it was not blowing at all.

Course wasn't Augusta, but for $35 I thought it was in excellent shape. I have already seen deals on their website and gotten emails to save even more.

I know some have knocked turf conditions, but I thought the course was in pretty good shape for January. Greens were nice for any time of the year. I can only imagine what they will look like in another month when the weather warms.

I would gladly play Yucaipa anytime and I thought it was an outstanding value.

Still a good deal, especially with the online specials and coupons. Paid $35 and got a sleeve of balls and lunch. But...this course has really gone down a notch in the last couple of years. Hard, tight fairways. Very brown. Also, The tendency of this course to stack teetimes on top of each other and lack of any apparent marshall almost led to an ugly situation today. My friend and I were paired up with 2 strong young players who got frustrated with the excruciatingly slow group in front of them and started hitting balls into the green while they were putting and driving it over their heads. These guys started hitting balls back. Needless to say, there was an nasty confrontation in the parking lot. I didn't pay good money to experience this.

I played a tournament at YVGC yesterday morning....WOW! The course is borderline dog track material (based upon current conditions). Every fairway is a tight lie. I started putting my shots into the rough so there was some grass. Even at that, the grass was patchy. The greens were acceptable. The board on the club house said the greens were "9.5...FAST". Is that an inside joke? I've only played here twice this year and they were both business related tournaments, but there is no way I would spend $50+ to play here. To be honest, I don't know if would play here for $30. Sorry :(

I totally agree with the review of 26 Nov. Even though it was a bit rainy on the 25th, we enjoyed the reception in the pro shop, cart barn, the joviality of other players, and especially the course conditions. The cup placements are challenging, and the greens are true. Some spots on the fairways are troubled, but overall not a huge problem. Over the past 4 years we have made Yucaipa a frequent choice and, when a disappointment arose, it was treated fairly and reasonably. My foursome loves this course, and the favorable green fees.
