Played Sunday, Oct 23. Good rate specials if you are willing to miss football. $60 after 10:30,$50 after noon (w cart). Course & greens were in great shape. Maintenance finally paying off.

Played the course on Saturday, September 17th. The course is starting to come in pretty well. They overseed a few weeks ago and the fairways are lokking real godd with only a few tight lies. The greens still need some work. One half of the green is aerated and the other is not. So one half is super fast and slick and the other is bumpy and slow. You better hit at the flag (even at a sucker pin like the 18th over on the back left near the lake) or you will be rewarded with the crappy side of the green. Overall this course is great though!

Ask when you make you starting time, because they won’t tell you !!!!!!
I played Mt. Woodson Wednesday morning with seven friends from out of town who were visiting San Diego, and was very much disappointed in the greens.

J C Golf, you should be ashamed of your self, you had aerated half the green on every hole.
And you don’t tell people when they make there starting times or give them a break on the green fees.

Even American Golf will do that much for you.

This is the forth time this has happen to me at a J C Golf managed course.

2. Encinitas Ranch, May 17,
3. Twin Oaks, July 5,

I am a J C Players Card holder and I don’t like the idea of using my Free Round of Golf (that I paid for) on a course that is not up to there own standards.

I think you should at lest have the decency to tell golfers when they make there starting times and let them decide if they would like to play on half greens, but don’t wait until they get to the course and then tell them after they have driven 40 or 50 miles at $3.00 a gal.

This course is a good play. Lots of elevated tee boxes. Variety of skills needed to make it around the track efficienty. Great views of the mountains and valley's of San Diego.

This course is very challenging. Most holes demand a specific tee shot. Really enjoyed my day the greens a bit slow. Very tight course especially the front 9 par 3's. #2 looks longer than it plays. Hit a nice fade with my drive off the tee and had a pitching wedge left. 12th hole tee shot from the blues is a major difference from the white about a 40-60 difference. This is one of my favorite courses in San Diego. I saw the picture of Phil Mickelson at the course and asked the guy in the pro shop what did he shoot and the man said " Phil didn't tell anyone" so I'm assuming that's bad?
