Man, I love this course. I wish I lived next door and could just play golf here all the time.

Well, the course is great shape as always. The greens were nearly recovered when we were there, and by now, I'm sure they're perfect. The fairways are beautiful... a few spots had some divots probably left over from the Q school qualifying, because usually they were in spots that I can't hit it... HA! The sand is perfect, and the rough was great... fortunately cut back from where it probably was for Q school.

I hadn't been up there for a year, and didn't realize that they've changed they're free replay policy to $15. Still, the best golf for any price. Can you tell I like this place?

Played on Thursday 10-2. Twilight is remarkably down to 1 PM and walking is $30. After watching WGC's on Friday I felt like I had just played the same type of greens. Hard to hold and would make a very faint divot. I'm know stimpmeter expert but it was nice to go through what Tour players do at least for a day. Everything everyone has said about the wind is true and then some. It really affects every shot on this course. Will come back very soon to see if I could manage better than a 95. Great 4 hour walking day!

Played on Sept 20. As expected, course was in excellent condition. Greens were running pretty quick, but not crazy fast. Most of the front nine sprinkler heads are now marked for yardage. They are working on completing the back nine. For the price and conditions, it's worth the 2 hour drive from the SF valley.

love this course, even though it is hard and windy. very challenging but needs to have more distances on the fairway.

Good visuals on several holes.

Started 1:00 with no one around. Rather windy though in the afternoon.

Very soft greens. So soft that footprints disturb the ball line. Very few flat spots on the greens with very fair, dense grass all around. Fairways are in very good shape. Some holes really require some knowledge before play.

Several blind shots, some constricted fairways aren't possible to see.

We paid $15 for a replay and got in another 9. We played "til the cows came home" or at least mooed for their dinner. We could hear them clearly on the nearby cattle ranch.

I'd pay and play it more were it not so far for me. Nice place for a jaunt or a combination stay in Santa Ynez with some other activity like wine/bike/hike.

I'm typing this up in the late afternoon after playing a round this morning. I'm still on a high. What a great course. Got there for a 7:30AM start time. The weather was foggy, but visibility good. No one ahead of us, no one behind us. The course was for ourselves. The fairways are in great shape with some minor divot damage (nice to see the greens staff filling them in). The greens were firm and fast fast fast. Although I'm a bit of duffer, I had three birdie opportunities taken away by these greens. I'm pumped to play this course again in the future.

Playing La Purisima is one of the best golf experiences you can have. I have played there several times and I have never been disappointed. A great course with great views.

My home course, and love it. Right now, greens are in need of a little attention, slower than they used to be, but better than average, that's for sure.
