played 1/27/04 looks like they had a small vandalism problem, fences and trees were down on number 5,
several greens had what appeared to be tire tracks, covered with sand.

My only suggestion for this course would be to reverse the nines. The back is somewhat of a letdown after the front. Not that the back is bad - I just think it'd be better to "crescendo" to the better... Continue »

My only suggestion for this course would be to reverse the nines. The back is somewhat of a letdown after the front. Not that the back is bad - I just think it'd be better to "crescendo" to the better side. Also, with the nines reversed, making a pit stop at the turn would be easier (you have to go a little out of the way to get to the clubhouse when making the turn). Other than that, this is a great course. Fast greens that hold good shots - when they first opened, the greens were so hard they wouldn't hold a full SW - lots of uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies which force you to adjust accordingly.

Second time playing this course. Just as good as I remembered it. Greens and fairways were in great condition, except for a few areas. However, they are working to fix the problems. If you haven't played tierra rejada yet, I would recommend you play here at least once.

playing conditons were great. Annoying though that their were maintenance workers almost on every green. I guess that is a good thing for future play.

This was the first time I ever played on this course on Dec 31,2003. It is in excellent condition, started around 1pm, could only finish 14 holes. Fairways and greens are in great condiiton, wind factor is very important, use additioinal club where ever you have doubt or on uphill holes.

I had to go out and play TR (first time) based upon the continued existance on the top-10 list. I would have to agree with all the prior comments. TR is in great shape. I just wish we could have dialed down the wind. Seemed like every down hill shot the wind was blowing behind us, which made for some great drives. Conversely...the wind seemed to be against us for every up hill shot. Let me add my 2 cents on #17...seemed so easy, but after my tee shot initially contacted the edge of the green within about 5 feet of the pin & then rolled into the trap it was all down hill. Ended up with a 6. I look forward to coming back to TR for the rematch with 17!!

This is my second time playing Tierra rejada and I must say this course is fantastic. I enjoyed it the second time because you know the course better. Course conditions were awesome. No complains at all. The front nine is more challenging than the back.
All in all, a beautiful golf course.
