Greens are pretty nice. Rough is beautiful. Fairways are decent. Overall, the conditions are very good, and this made an otherwise average course play a bit above average for me. Customer service, however, was horrid. The pro-shop staff wouldn't give my playing partner the time of day, and the beverage cart lady had her cell phone ringer on...and when it rang, rather than shut it off, she picks it up and talks on it. Unacceptable.

Additionally, there were, at one point, 3 groups on the 11th tee box. Didn't see a single player assistance ranger out all day. Could have saved us quite a bit of time.

The layout is a bit tricked up with some admittedly stupid holes, but it was fun enough. Would I go back? Maybe in a year or so for 55 bucks...full rate for the green fee is just not worth it. Thank God for early twilight coupons.

conditions of the course were great. 12 hole par 5 was played as a par 4(used temporary green)12 hole green was used as a par 3. 14th hole was closed due to irrigation problems.

Fun track. The greens were lightly sanded-pretty slow. #2 and #6 greens always have severe bare spots. #17 green is like a carpet. Other than that, the course is usually in great condition-lush. However I can't get over the 17th hole- it almost seems like they forgot a hole when they made this course and then just threw in the 17th to make it complete. But still a fun course to play. (Watch out on the the 1st hole for errant tee shots from the 9th tee.)

$90 on the weekends seems a little bit steep for this course, but they do serve up a very nicely-maintained facility for the price. This morning, the greens were smooth, sometimes firm, and generally not terribly fast. Fairways were in decent shape with some bare spots and extensive divot damage on a couple holes, notably #8. The rough, however, was fantastic, and I should know, having played out of it most of the day. It's lush, lush, lush, and in the few places it was up over 3", it was rather penal. Tierra is a fine layout that's well-worth playing and I thoroughly enjoyed my round, but I would prefer to come back with a discount of some sort. They do apparently offer a "fifth round free" program, which is a nice perk. Good course, worth a trip. Fix a few extra ball-marks, and fill in a few extra divots while you're out there, okay?

Haven't played TJ for about 2 years. Course was in great shape despite the rain. Bunkers were still wet but playable. Greens were receptive, smooth and medium fast. Only lost a couple of balls on route to an 83. Views were great. It was a good day.

Course was great shape, despite the recent heavy rains. Greens were softer and slower than normal, but this helped to hold several long shots that would have skipped through the last time I played TR. Some bare spots on a few greens, but they were being worked. No signs of excessive water, even the traps were in good shape. The are working hard to keep this course and the surrounding hills in great shape. Our 4-some finished in just under 4 hours. Never had to wait for a shot and no one behind us. A great round, except for that d%mn ed 17th hole, AGAIN!!

Fairways, rough and traps were in great shape. Greens were the worst condition that I have ever seen them. Multiple greens had some bare spots and were quite lumpy. Also, it seemed as if our foursome was being chased by the groundkeepers for the whole back nine. Not the most pleasant thing to have happen to you when you have to pay holiday rates on a weekday (President's Day).

Was told that course was in great shape when I made my tee time. I have seen golf courses in better shape.
