Golf Course Reviews: California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Hawaii!Got out Sunday morning (7/15) before 8, but after what appeared to be a men's club group of 16. What followed was a 5 hour round. Walked up to #10 (par 3) to find a group on the tee box and 7 on the green.....never saw a Marshall nor a beverage cart, both were sorely needed. Apparently an ownership change at Soule. No merchandise to be found in the pro shop. They did replace the worn out driving range mats. Course in good condition, but have no desire to experience another 5 hour round anytime soon. Gonna head out to the Oxnard courses for lower temps and faster pace of play.
Got out Sunday 3/29 just before 8. POP little on the slow side at 4:40. Outstanding course conditions. Great course value at $40 walking. Best conditions I've seen at Soule Park. Greens rolling med-fast, smooth, and held lines great. Lush fairways and tee boxes. Will certainly return to enjoy the beautiful views and great golf conditions.
Pro shop & starter customer service a bit lacking, but the course was in decent shape. Got out 30 min late with a 7:45 tee time. POP a bit over 4 hrs. Ranger came around 4-5 times with water & cups. The course...dormant fairways with lots of roll that still yielded decent lies. Some bare spots, but playable. Most tee boxes were chewed up, BUT they were rebuilding many of the boxes and they should be in good shape shortly. Traps were poor, lots of rocks & not much sand. The greens were far and above the best part of the course. They were rolling fast and fairly smooth. Not a bad deal with a Sunday $25 walking rate.
Played Friday 1/3/14. Teed off right on time at 8:36. POP 4.5 hrs. Course was in very good "winter condition". Dormant fairways recently fertilized/dyed which improved the visual. Great rolls and just enough turf to yield acceptable lies (never had a bad lie in the fairway). Good tee boxes (level, no significant divot damage, and full coveage) and the greens were rolling smooth and receptive to approaches (greens were best part of course). Seems that most of the taller grasses have been cut down/back yielding a friendlier course. Really enjoyed the course and will get back soon.
Played 11/10/12, got out just before 8:00 and finished in 4 hours. Course was in good shape and showed no evidence of the Thursday rains. Greens were rolling great (smooth and quick). Fairways were lush with a few (emphasis on few) isolated areas of hardpan in some of the fairway "crowns". Verified that many of the traps were full with medium-heavy sand. It is worth the time to get there early and take advantage of the great practice facilities. Well worth the cost of the Costco "Livegolf" discount card.

Got out Saturday 9/1 ~ 7:30 and finished in ~ 4 hours. Course was set up for their "impossible open" on 9/2 and was in generally very good shape. Greens were soft and rolled fast & smooth. Rough was grown up 3-5" in most spots. Well worth the money when using the Costco “Live golf” voucher and another $20 ($65 for the round).

Got out today shortly after 7:00. Course is holding up extremely well given the extreme heat over the last two weeks. Lush boxes and fairways and typical RR greens rolling true. Great customer service. Best deal around using the Costco "live golf" discount which gives you a $45 round.

Tight (would almost call it packed), dormant, bermuda fairways. Greens covered with the green liquid fertilizer, but it was not used to hide anything. Most of the greens were in very good shape as they rolled smooth and fast. Paid the price for being above some of the pins. Good customer service as usual.

Previous review was spot on. Got out Sunday 2/27 at ~7:45 and finished in just over 4 hours. Greens were awesome. Rolled fast and true. Probably the best greens I have seen during the winter months, period!!!
Played Sunday 2/13, got out just before 8:00, and finished by 12:20. Excellent customer service, love the practice facility (wish we had something like it in Santa Clarita), and course was just as previous posters commented. Greens were rolling smooth and the dormant fairways still yield a good lie. Did notice that the group behind us was at least 2 holes behind and the course starting to back up on 13 as finished on 17. Really enjoyed the course, but the non resident walking rate of $57 is a bit high (the resident rate of $41 is excellent).
Played Saturday morning 2/5 at 8:00 and finished in 4:30. Greens were in very good shape. Soft and receptive, yet very quick and fairly smooth. Putts from above the cup were brutal. Fairways still a bit thin in places. Enjoyed the round and the course.
Played 1/15 and had an 8:51 time, ckecked in at 8:30 and was told they would call us when it was time to check in....they were running at least 10 min late. OK, no problem, bought some range balls, hit 5, and was called back to the pro shop. We were told that we need to pay and we are "on the 1st tee". This was at ~ 8:40......Don't tell us we are going to be 10 minutes late and then send us out 10 minutes early.
As for the course...greens are rolling pretty nice. Fairways, tee boxes, and traps could use some help. Lot's of specials out there to play Vista (Golf Now, Golfzing, etc...). A good deal with one of those discounts, but not worth the full rack prices.
