Pleasantly surprised. First time here. I actually enjoyed this course. I like older courses. Not a long course but still had some character and charm about it. I wasn't sure what I was in for when the guy in the group in front of us was teeing off #1 in a tee shirt and wearing flip flops. They all sprayed it all over the place and very rarely saw them again. I was surprised at the pace as crowded as it was even with numerous people walking. Greens were good. Fairways were so so. Good in some areas and bad in others. Rough was horrendous. I would like to play it again when its in better shape. The guys we played with said they have heavy water restrictions in the summer, and it shows. I would love to walk this course. It looks like it is perfect for walking. Summer local rate was perfect.

Played on Monday, 9/17, with a group from work. Tee time was for 11:03, but didn't tee off until 11:40. I don't know what the delay was (may have been the $20 rate after 10:30), but after the 3rd hole, the pace picked up and we finished in 4 1/2 hours. Course is preparing for reseeding later this week. They are only reseeding 9 at one time, and keeping the other 9 open. Conditions were dry and fast, but very playable, with some brown spots outside the landing areas. Rough was cut short on the front, and longer on the back. Sand was better than average for a Vegas course, fine and loose. There was at least 1 set of foot prints in every bunker I was in. Greens were fast and firm, with little amount of damage. Customer service was fine, very friendly employees, only bad thing was no drink cart after 12:30. There were water jugs every 3 holes though.

Overall, LV Golf Club was a fun course. Course is very open, with OB on a handful of holes (all on the left side). All of the greens are open to the front, allowing shots to run up. There are a lot of parallel fairways and tee boxes close to the previous green, so "fore" was heard a quite a few times. It's flat and allows walking, a rarity in Vegas. I will definitely play it a few more times, and for $20 (with cart), it was a great deal.

First time playing here, must say I was pleasantly surprised. Being a muni course, you never know what you're going to get, considering the quality of other courses in the area. Starter was pleasant and informative. There was a foursome of beginners going out before us, she (the starter) told them they were playing from the ladies tees, they told her that was ok (wish more people would recognize their limitations - thanks guys!). Course was overall in good shape, a couple of greens were bumpy, but most rolled pretty true. Tee boxes were not in good shape, but that beats having terrible greens. Sand traps were the usual Vegas hard pack. Definitely worth the money (only 29 bucks for locals in primetime on a weekend). Not sure what the out of towner rate is, but its got to be better that some of the other places that really nick the tourist...
