Played 11-10-13 first out with two really nice local gentlemen. Parkland course with mature tree lined fairways not that long or difficult but very fun to play. Of the six courses I played here this weekend this course was in the best shape of them all. Tee boxes lush and level. Fairways very nice with ball sitting up real good. Rough about 1-2 inches and lush but not to difficult to hit from.Sand traps almost perfect real nice granular sand and great to hit from. Greens were very smooth rolling medium/fast and true. Would definitely play this course again.

Local green fee is $54 -- less with player card. Includes range balls (mats only). Excellent practice facilities -- two putting greens, chipping area with bunker.

I've played LV National for many years going back to when it was the Sahara. Today's condition was the best I have ever seen.
Historically Bermuda greens at LVN have been bumpy -- not today, very smooth. Fairways are great, never a bad lie. Rough was consistent, ball sits down a little, but that is bermuda grass. Bunkers were smooth.
Unlike most Las Vegas courses, there is no desert area. Also unlike most Las Vegas courses, there are TREES.
Pro shop staff and restaurant staff most cordial. Cart service very regular. Marshal was around a lot -- the group in front of us was slow and marshal was on them all the way around.
No water jugs on course. But that is my only complaint.
New owners are spending money on maintenance -- they were even mowing the rough on Saturday morning. Course is close to strip -- well worth playing even if you have to pay the out of town rate.

Just a perfect priced course that is so fun, such great shape - I mean great shape. Perfect location in Vegas, the new GM has his inside and outside personnel trained so well. Just a great experience.

Played 4-13-13. Course was in great shape. Its an older traditional style layout. Great course if you can get the locals discount. I believe they get it it for $ 32.00. We paid $ 120.00. If you can get it for $ 50-60 it will be well worth it. Fun course nonetheless. You have to move the ball here. Especially with the wind blowing across the course. Keep in mind. Hit that longer club if your thinking about it. The wind knocks the ball down here. Has some sneaky water hazards. So be aware. Especially the first hole.

Friendly Staff, Course condition, Lots of grass and large trees. Fun to play. Great value.

I thought this course was awesome. I guess it's under new management, and it was in great shape. Not like the desert style courses in Vegas and Pheonix, it's a classic layout which is tough to find in Vegas. Lots of mature trees to bounce off of, lots of rough to get into, and most of the greens are well guarded by bunkers with white sand. There's some water on this course, too. It's a great track at a good price and it's really close to the strip. Staff was friendly and the clubhouse was good atmosphere, with a museum which I guess is the Las Vegas Golf Hall of Fame, it was pretty neat. Definitely going back there next time.

This is a great golf course. It's an old school layout with no 2 holes alike, a much underrated factor if you ask me. It has a good mix of long and short par 4s and 5s and the par 3s are tough. The course is maintained well and the pace of play is great. It's not the most difficult course in the city, but it is a very fun course to play.

Played National on a breezy afternoon. Course has come out of over seeding in good shape. Greens were much better then last visit. Fairways and rough can be very thin in spots. Great parkland layout not found in Vegas. Great par 3's and interesting finishing stretch. As a side note finally birdied 2 of the tougher holes out there. Sand bunkers are exceptional. I believe the course is a green light again and for you tourists it is close to the strip if you are cabbing it.

Played 4/25/09. The reviews I read prior to playing this course had me wondering. Even the locals I asked made me second guess my choice to play here. After my round I concluded that this course is fantastic! Greens were a bit slow but in great condition. Tee to green, didn't find anything to complain about. I played from the tips so I did get to see the whole course. Subtle elevation changes, semi-tight fairways and plenty of water to keep you honest. Course management is a must. What a fun course! I look forward to returning to play again!
