This is a pretty fun course out in the Henderson area. It's a fun track that is out in front of you on every hole, just play it as you see it. The driving range was grass and in pretty good shape and the staff seems to take care to rotate the hitting areas so there is nice turf to hit from. The tee boxes and fairways we lush and easy to hit from. The greens had been aerated recently and although not terribly bumpy they are probably two weeks from being really healthy and smooth. They were very receptive and the ball stopped just fine but with the sand and holes they were rolling pretty slow.

Pretty good course and worth playing while in Vegas, probably somewhere in the middle of the pack in comparison to other courses available to play depending on the greens fees.

I played this course the morning I arrived in Las Vegas. When I arrived, the marshal told me there was an amateur tournament going on and that the place of play was slightly behind but should pick up an hour or so after my round started. The staff was really helpful and extremely polite. The starter got me out about 20 minutes early and was really accommodating. The course was in phenomenal condition. The tee boxes and fairways were really lush and green and the greens were very receptive but a little bit on the slow side. The elevation changes definitely factored into shot selection. The pace of play never really picked up and we finished right at about the 5 hour mark and waited on almost every shot. That's really the only knock on this course is the pace of play. We never saw the marshal. I would definitely list this as a hidden gem and add it to a must play list in Vegas.

Only complaint was the guys in the pro shop were a little rude. If you are coming to Vegas do yourself a favor and visit this place

Played 9/2 at 6:22. Warm and very humid. First time I've played here. Probably not fair to rate this course since overseeding will start any day now. Fairways and rough are very thin and need new grass. Bunkers are smooth but very little sand and very firm. The greens were really good. Semi firm Bermuda but they roll quite true. Little long cause of the temperature and humidity we have had lately. Interesting layout. Course located in southeast LV and sits in lower foothills. Some elevation changes, but gently slopes uphill and downhill. Not hilly like Rio Secco but not flat either. Width of fairways is quite generous. Some bunkering but not excessive like at Siena. Greens are quite large and relatively flat (as in no major undulations), but they still have slope following the contour of each hole. Little water -- only on 9 and 18 are there water carries to the green. Course plays a little short for me from the Rossa tees and might be a little long for me from the next tees back. Clubhouse is a large trailer and not real restaurant area that I saw. Local rate was $45 which includes range balls. Range is grass but not very lush. Good enough to loosen up before you start. But there is a snack shop next to the first tee and a nice putting green there also, so you can get a feel for the green speed waiting to tee off. We were the 4th group off, so the pace of play was fine. No hold ups in front of us and we weren't pushed by the group behind. I'll go back in the late fall or early spring after the grass grows back. My rating number for this course was low because of the conditions of the fairways and rough. Sure it would be higher with better grass conditions.

Played here on Thursday in the warm weather. Thermometer said just slightly north of 110 when we got out of the car. Little heat never hurt anyone - and it SURELY didn't hurt this course at all. This might have become my favorite course in Vegas.

Tee boxes - played from the backs and they were impeccable. Every single one of them was flat and lush. They are going to get a 9/10 on boxes. Only reason I'm knocking a point off is because a few of the boxes are kind of small. Not really a fan of small tee boxes.

Fairways - GREAT condition. Nice, dark green grass, just overall great condition. 10/10 on these. As much as I love some of the nicer courses here in So Cal, they can learn a thing from the superintendent at Tuscany on keeping up the fairways.

Greens - Greens had just been rolled a day before so they were running pretty true. Few areas of fungus growing in, but it looked like they did a good job containing it. Most frustrating thing with these greens was all the divots. Seemed like whoever played there regularly didn't bother to fix their marks. Can't fault the course for that though. Green speed was a little inconsistent, but putting has always been the weakest part of my game so it could have just been me. 8/10.

Rough - Most of the rough was desert areas. Few holes had a lot of rough, and it was in good shape. Not long enough to affect shots, but also not terribly easy to get out of either. Desert areas were clean - you can definitely tell that they care about what this looks like. 9/10

Bunkers - this is the Achilles heel of this course. I was lucky enough to be in more than one beach and it felt like I was more in a cracked desert of badlands. After being in 3 bunkers I actually just started pulling my ball out since I still have to pay for my clubs and don't like to see them with chips in the bottom of them. 3/10. They get a 3 simply because they looked pretty.

Overall - I would absolutely recommend this course if you're in the Vegas area. Entire course is getting a 8/10. Definitely reasonably priced if you can stand the heat (paid 30 bucks on GN).

I played here Sunday, May 5th. I've played here 2 or 3 times now and I like this course. The holes are quite varied with some elevations changes. The staff was friendly and helpful. The greens this year were quite smooth and receptive. In the past they have been smooth but hard. There isn't a great deal of undulation in them, but you need to watch where you are in relation to the hills and the valley. The fairways were excellent as were the tee boxes. The bunkers had plenty of sand and were pretty consistent. The 18th, their signature hole, is a par 4 that has water in the front and right side of the green. If you are a 155 yards or less to the green for your second shot, you are hitting off a down hill lie with a prevailing left to right wind. Great golf hole. Grass driving range, practice chipping and putting greens, while good, are not conveniently placed. Like all Vegas Valley courses, this one can be pounded by the wind. We had some significant winds the day we played, however this course allows you to be able to play even in gusting winds. The design seems to give you a landing area even if the wind gets up. This is a very nice course that challenges you, but does not beat you up. It keeps your interest. Beverage cart appeared at good intervals. Since the last time I played here the clubhouse has been moved and rebuilt, but is still prefab and pedestrian, but it serves it's purpose.

Played Rio Secco and Tuscany over the break. Tuscany Golf Club was an obvious step down from a layout and experience standpoint but its playing conditions were relatively comparable. Greens were moderately fast and smooth, Fairways lush (though shaggy), Rough lush, Tee Boxes lush, Bunkers well maintained. The layout is fairly open off the tee with most of the challenge coming on the greens. Homes line most of the course but they are well off the fairways. I enjoyed the elevation changes and felt $85 was a fair price. Favorite hole was 18 (even though I doubled it). My biggest gripe was it took us about 5 hours to finish on weekday. Also, it was farther then I expected from the Excalibur where we were staying. I've experienced it once and not sure if I’ll return but overall enjoyed the day.

Played Tuscany on 05/08/12 and overall the course is in excellent shape. They had just punched the greens which we didn't know about until we got out there, but even then most of the greens putted pretty well.
The guys in the shop were good and the staff outside excellent, but the girls in the snack shop not as much.
Pace of play was good; played in 4 hours with groups in front and behind, but we kept moving along. I appreciated seeing the marshall driving around checking on us.
If you haven't played Tuscany before, I recommend it. All the par 3's are long enough to leave wedge in the bag, but not so brutal where you're hitting fairway wood and hoping for a bogey. The par 4's are straight forward and not terribly long, but #9 and #18 are tricky. And the par 5's are reachable for the mid to long hitter so overall it's a player friendly course. It's a fun layout with lots of room for sprayed tee shots.
Although Tuscany is on the far east side of town, it's worth the drive.

If you're looking for inexpensive, non-resident golf in Las Vegas try this place. Booked on-line for $53 with cart & balls. Conditions & service very good. Bermuda greens are a putt like you're top of a bristle brush though. Fairly easy layout. It does get very windy there.
