With this being my de facto (early) birthday trip, I decided to splurge for a stay and play deal at Entrada. Unless you know a member or have some other sort of connection/reciprocal, staying at the Inn at Entrada is generally the only way to play here as an unaccompanied guest. Definitely expensive (the room much more than the golf this time of year, which was actually only $70 at twilight) and probably a better investment as a couple's trip or with some golf buddies to share the lodging expenses. I had a 1:00 tee time, but went off around 12:40 as a single behind a couple other member singles. They played fast and I never pushed much. We all played through a couple groups along the way, but it was another very quick round on a very hot afternoon in Utah. The course was in good overall shape for summer. I'd say pretty comparable to Ledges, just maybe one notch better on most fronts. Great tee boxes. Fairways solid with some thin/burnt/weak areas scattered throughout, which is to be expected in late summer here. Rough pretty lush for the most part, but not always consistent. Bunkers very nice. Greens also nice. Very receptive and rolling smooth at medium/fast speeds. As for the layout and setting, Entrada lived up to the hype as probably the best overall course in the St. George area (not quite on Wolf Creek's level if you are expanding the region to include Mesquite). Sand Hollow is obviously in this conversation, as well. Very scenic and fun Johnny Miller layout. He sure doesn't create boring courses. Huge greens with ample undulations, but not as much as most Miller greens I've seen. Front nine is very picturesque with the red rock canyon walls in the background throughout and a lot of nice aesthetic touches. Then, a few holes into the back nine, the course goes into a wildly different landscape with jagged black (lava?) rocks everywhere. It's like going from red Mars to the dark side of the moon. This stretch was cool how integrated everything was into the look and layout, and it is a completely different change of pace from the rest of the course. Definitely a neat course that is worth seeking out if you don't mind spending extra for the stay and play. Speaking of the "stay," I am at the Inn now as I type this. Awesome accommodations! It's not really an inn or hotel style setup. It's basically a private gated neighborhood and you get your own street address and detached condo. Personal garage with remote, private little patio with an awesome view. Really cool and quite luxurious, so I can't wait to finish these reviews up to chill out and enjoy the plush personal space.

Played the course this past weekend 12/15/17 as part of my 3 day 3 course tour of near Nevada with my soon to be new son in law. This course is relatively flat considering the surrounding area and at just over 6600 yards from the blues thought it would be a good test. The course is fair and provides good landing zones off the tee, however I found the distance to be a little difficult. The course is in fantastic shape with fair roll. It may be a bit hard so for me taking a reasonable divot was a bit testy. Rough is not bad your bigger problem here is the desert that attracted many of my shots on this day. Greens are in great shape, receptive to well struck shots and rolling about 11. Bunkers were in good shape, slightly hard in the morning hours but better in the early afternoon. Tees are good, some divot damage where you would expect it and level in most cases. Customer service was excellent and friendly, pace of play just under 4.5 hours. First time playing here and would certainly return for another round.

Played Entrada last weekend as part of my annual St. George golf trip. They have a package now starting after June 1st. It includes stay at the Casita and Golf for 135.00 plus taxes. You can't beat this deal anywhere considering the combination of beauty and challenge at this golf course. The course winds through Black Lava rock and with views of the red rocks of southern Utah, it is spectacular. Course conditions were almost perfect,. Fairways tee boxes and greens in great shape. btw this course used to be public, but it is now semi private, so the only way to play is to stay there. We were going to play Kokopelli, but found out they closed. If you are going to ST. George this is a must play.

From service to the course condition, it is top notch. Poor putters beware. Greens were rolling at 12 on stimp and routinely plays at 11.5. I'm glad last course I played before playing here was Firestone South as had I not played there, I would have been putting all day. Very challenging layout yet fun. Only downside is that unless you have some connections, you must stay at their Casita to golf here. Casita were very high end with heated brick floors in the bathroom. 2 thumbs up for this course. I will definitely go back to play there again.

Played the course on May 10,2009 on my birthday. Course is very challenging with a lot of different kinds of holes(canyons,lava beds and water come into play). The only issues I had with the course was that the greens were recently aerated about a week prior and the course was very wet due to a lot of watering,but I did only pay $65.00. I would highly reccomend this course, just remember it is private so you have to stay at The Inn At Entrada(very nice one, two bedroom and studio condos with their own garage).

Played Entrada November, 2007. Great course! Beautiful, challenging, well maintained. One of my favorites! Shot maker course. You don't have to be that long but must be accurate. The only way you can play it now it to play with a member or stay at one of the beautiful houses at Entrada. This is a great get away golf weekend. The houses are fantastic and you can play Entrada one day and then drive a few miles up the road and play The Ledges.

Played on 01 July and I am devastated that this place is going private. Absolutely excellent course, all around. Top notch service, you're treated like a member from the time you arrive until your round concludes. Completely gated course from the entrance which gives you a nice, private feeling. Driving range and practice areas are gorgeous. Conditions of the course are astonishing considering the summer temperatures. Perfect tee boxes, faiways, and rough. The plus part of this course are the greens. I can't remember the last round I played where I did not have a single putt all day that skipped or bumped on its way to the whole. That was something that will stick in my mind. Last three holes are a sight to be seen with the black lava surrounding the holes from tee to green. All in all, excellent course, well worth the drive. An absolute must-play before it goes private. Hurry!!!
