Played Snohomish last weekend (Saturday, 4/18/15) for the first time and found the place to be a bit of a mixed bag. Greens had been punched 2 weeks prior, and were very sandy and inconsistent. I knew this ahead of time as I had called to ask, so I really can't be too disappointed about that. It was pretty wet everywhere which led to the course feeling a bit longer than the actual yardage. Fairways weren't bad, but weren't great either. I would have to say the same about the rough, and I didn't find any sand at all so I won't comment about the bunkers. Tee boxes were very good.

I thought the layout was really quite nice, if there was one disappointment it was that they had us start on #10. I can see how the front 9 is a little bit "friendlier" and I think the course would be a bit more fun starting there. Once things get a little drier towards the summer, and their greens heal, I bet the experience will be top notch, especially considering that the price is pretty reasonable (I paid the rack rate to walk, I think it was about $38 for prime time Saturday morning). It has some elevation changes, but for me it was still a very nice walk, as most tee boxes are pretty close to the previous hole's green. One thing I noticed on the scorecard before I played is that the yardage difference between the blue and white tees is pretty extreme. That is definitely the case, as there are several par 4's that are around 80 yards longer from the tips. I personally liked the challenge (and I'll like it even more once its dry and I get some roll) but I can see how many players might wish there were more of a middle ground.
