In short the course is in average to slightly below average muni condition. Highlights were the fairways and sand traps which were average to decent condition. Low were the tee boxes. They are level but overgrown with weeds. Fine if you tee up a driver but totally suck when trying to hit a 3 wood off the deck. Greens were super slow and still bumpy. I would have thought the greens would of healed by now but they are still a couple of weeks away from full recuperation.

POP would have been under 3 1/2 hours if it wasn't for a foursome that wouldn't let us through for the last 6 holes. Very frustrating when there wasn't anyone in front of them or anyone behind us for several holes.

Met up with a couple of former co-workers in valley for round in some great fall weather in the valley. Being that one of the players is brand new we were looking for an economy round. I get out to Lemoore probably 10-12 times a year and I have to say this is the best I've seen the course.

It's still a muni course with average muni conditions, but for half the price of Valley Oaks 30 minutes up the road, Lemoore is a great deal. Fairways had some bare spots here and there but overall were decent. No issues what so ever with the tee boxes and the greens were smooth and divot free. Greens always roll on the slow side and after playing Blackhorse the other day it was night and day different. The rough is generally thin to bare so missing the fairway is a crap shoot.

Again, these are muni conditions (and prices). Overall I'd rate the course at a 5.5. But for $21 with cart for prime time (using Golfmoose) it's well worth it to get in a quick round.

A quick update on conditions at Lemoore. Greens have improved greatly. They were soft and receptive to approach shots and rolled fairly true at a medium slow speed. The greens are on par with what you would expect at your average muni course.

Fairways have improved as well but there are still several thin areas and dirt patches mixed in throughout the course.

The one disappointment were the fairway bunkers. Not sure what happened but a couple were riddled with thousands of pebbles. One was so bad it looked like a gravel pit. There is no way I would use any of my clubs to hit from one of those.

Everything else is pretty much the same as noted in my other reviews. POP was decent for a weekend. It started off excellent and then came to a screeching halt around the 7th hole.

It's hard to imagine that the sand traps are the best part of this course. The couple of bunkers I were in were very nice. It's nit the white fluffy Pebble Beach sand but definitely a nice quality "brown" playground sand that was very nice to hit out of. I can tell everyone else appreciates the new sand as well. All of the bunkers were perfectly raked. Usually the bunkers here are so lumpy they look like a motocross track. As for the rest of the course..... Just aim for the bunkers for a good lie! Fairways are still thin and hit & miss as far as getting a good lie. Greens are firm (yet putt slow) with everything rolling off the back. Tee boxes are thin and lumpy. Range consists of natural grass hitting stations and they have a couple of pitching and chipping areas with one station allowing up to about 65 yard shots onto a makeshift "green".

It's been a while since I've played here. This is usually my go to course for a quick inexpensive mid week round when I'm feeling lazy (or it's too cold) to go for a bike ride. Unfortunately, I was stuck behind the last group of a high school tournament so it was much slower today. Usually mid week I can finish in well under 3 hours.

Conditions have deteriorated since the last I time I was here in September or October.
Greens were about the same as usual which is slightly under what you would expect for a muni course. Though they were rolling much faster today.

Fairways were thin and patchy. 1/2 the lies were decent, 1/4 were bad but playable and 1/4 were foot wedges to a decent hitting surface. Areas around the green were the worst. Very hard to get any type of decent lie.

The rough was actually pretty nice. Thick but lush in most places. Tee boxes were the same as the fairways with even worse conditions on the par 3's.

Customer service is good unless James is working then it's great! He makes everyone feel welcomed and comfortable whether you're a first time beginner or scratch golfer. Also, the gals in the kitchen are very friendly with great customer service skills

I've detailed the course layout in other posts so I won't go into much detail here. Its basically a flat muni style layout tight front 9 that's very walkable and a more open back 9.

I've never seen a beverage cart here but then, I always play mid day midweek.

Whereas course conditions have slipped a bit over the last few months, I know they are working hard at getting it back into shape.

Fun layout but greens are still being invaded by unwanted grasses.

The areas most affected were bumpy and all the greens were rolling on the slow side.

Worth the price as there are always good deals.

This course has a fun layout that comprises an old parkland front nine and a newer 90s style back with far less trees and more mounding.

There are always excellent deals to be had and is the main reason to keep going back when combined with the always friendly and excellent staff.

The conditions continue to baffle. They seem to be making headway one month then the next it appears to reverse course. Lack of revenue is the most likely culprit.

Tees mostly good with a few bare and/or unlevel.
Fairways mostly good with a few bare areas and many areas that are severely bumpy (cart riders beware).
Rough is spotty and most off fairway areas tend to be dirt.
Bunkers have always been poor with hardpack dirt mostly. There were many with weeds, but there was a crew working on one and it was clear others had been worked.
Greens were mostly smooth but many had invasive grasses kikuyu or crabgrass IDK

I've played here a couple dozen times when I'm in the area. You can walk the course for $15 and even finds deals with carts for the same price. Mid day and week the course is empty so I like to use it for a quick round to work on my game.

Staff is friendly and course is average. Having said that it's in the best condition I've seen it in the last two years. Greens are rolling smooth but slow which is fine as this is a great course for beginners. Track is completely flat but does have a few lakes in it to make things interesting. Best part of the layout is that on the front 9 you are forced to use all your clubs. You will only tee off with a driver twice in the first 7 holes.

Whereas the sand traps are still below standard they are much better than other "nicer" courses in the Fresno area.

All in all, No complaints with the course for what it is... A muni course for quick inexpensive rounds.

My friend was able to get a 12$ hot deal with carts. Surprise! - no carts allowed and none of us were smart enough to call. Coincidentally I had taken my trolley out of the car which I never do. They were giving pull carts for free but did not have enough for the group.

Tees - some mud and longer than normal grass with some torn up areas
Fairways - some spots with standing water and many muddy areas but the grass is starting to come out of being dormant.
Bunkers - wet and hard packed with some standing water
Greens - slow but in fair to good shape overall, they still have some invasive grasses in areas

Overall the course is holding up pretty well to all the rain.
