Course in outstanding shape. Greens are small, smooth and medium fast. Bunkers are a little crusty but playable and everything else was close to perfect. $75 twilight rate after 2:00PM is a little steep but comparable to everything else in the area. Some seriously amazing golf courses within a 25-mile radius but this layout should not be ignored.

Held most shots, smooth at a couple of clicks above medium. Perfect speed in my opinion. Beautiful and typical mountain course. More room then most mountain courses from Tees. If in the area a good addition to the other 2 main attraction courses and with a total of 5 courses to play, a decent choice of the rotation. Absolutely love the Graeagle area.

This was our first round on Monday morning. They don't open until 7:00 (same pretty much at any course around here) and didn't seem to want us out there first, so they put a twosome of walkers out ahead of us. The walkers let us play through after a few holes. We did have to deal with maintenance quite a bit, but they were nice and it wasn't too bad. We played most of the back nine without the greens being cut or rolled, so they were wetter and slower. We used a GolfMoose voucher and it was a great deal compared to normal morning rack rates here.

Conditions were good overall. Again it was very wet from tee to green with soft fairways and not much roll-out on drives. The rough was a bit spotty in places, but never presented too much of a challenge unless you strayed way off the fairways. The tee boxes and fairways were lush and in generally good condition with just some minor weak spots here and there. The greens were soft, but well-maintained and rolling pretty good (even with the rooster tails on the wet ones).

I liked the front nine here more than the back. It seemed to have more character and more interesting terrain overall. The back nine is a more traditional parkland kind of layout with back-and-forth routing and nothing too distinctive outside a couple solid par-3s. Overall, this is a good course, but doesn't quite bring the dramatic mountain golf qualities that I enjoyed at many of the other courses we played on this trip.

Greens were about a week post aeration. No sand. But lots of holes that caused the ball to bounce all over. Good speed but no line. They were punching the rough as we played. Beautiful area on a perfect fall day.

Checked in at the Proshop and was made to feel welcome. I had asked to be paired with someone when I made reservations. They put me with Mike, who had played the course three times. Course knowledge is a must have here. Locating the 1st and 2nd tee boxes requires help. Played the white tees, the fairways are wide, with a wide first cut, and then the forest. I continually felt I was in a meadow while walking down the fairways. About 6 holes are blind tee shots. Even with my "guide" We made some mistakes, but it was so so beautiful. I hope to get up there again next year and play this again! Lunch in the cafe. Food was tasty, large portions and reasonably priced.

Played Graeagle Meadows on the 13th & 16th of June. The front 9 is one of the wider open layout's in the Mohawk Valley, and allows you to "get dialed in" before the back 9.

Many doglegs and mild undulations throughout the course. Sets up well for those of you who are confident off the tee with your driver. You won't get penalized too bad if you miss the fairway's, but you will have to hit some great approach/2nd shots to make par. Very important to find your line. I would also say you get about an extra 10 yds of distance at this course. Could have been the weather that day but the ball was really jumping.

Definitely grab a yardage book at the pro-shop. There are some holes with extreme doglegs that will eat you up unless you hit your target off the tee.

Great course and customer service along with the bar and restaurant. They have a special on Tuesday's!

Second day of three day tournament. Weather colder than normal; so disappointing conditions may color my review.

Graeagle is about 5 miles down the road from Plumas Pines. Similar geography -- about 4000' -- although each course sits in a valley so each is flatter than one might suspect.

Course conditions were good. Greens here were significantly better than Plumas. Speed about 10, rolling smoothly, not bumpy with a large percentage of poa annua grass. While firm generally, they were soft enough that you could get some check on the second bounce.

Fairways and rough were both OK. We played a shamble format so I didn't have to deal with any bad tee shots. I actually liked the bunkers. Although pretty firm, the sand is fine and you can control the ball a little when you splash out of the bunker. Tees were flat and no negatives there.

Layout seemed more open than Plumas. Trees were not really an issue since at least one side of the hole was pretty open. Both courses do however have housing quite close.

Amenities were nothing special. Electric carts with ice chests, but no ball washers. No GPS or towels. Like Plumas, very much a muni feel. We paid $55, but regular rate around $80 is too high. I'm sure I would have enjoyed the course much more if it was sunny and 80°.

Played Graeagle Meadows on Monday July 6th. Weather was mild with some light humidity. Check in was simple, and was $80pp w/ cart. Driving range was adequate with a mix of grass and artificial turf hitting areas. There was also a small short game area available for use.

Course was in great shape, and had been renovated in the past few years. Restaurant and bar were nice and had a great deck over looking the course. Lot's of wildlife on the course, including some bear prints in the sand traps.

Course provides a free yardage book, and the website offers tips on playing the individual holes.

The course is fairly compact... Tee boxes are in close proximity to the green of the previous hole. Lot's of undulations in the fairways, some blind shots, and some water hazards that can come into play if you don't pay attention to the yardages. Fairways and green were in great shape. Bunker complex's were tidy, sand was perfect.

Enjoyed the course overall. Wasn't overly demanding or difficult. You should however study before you go, especially with the doglegged holes, and water hazards which can catch you off guard and throw off your approach shots.

Played 7/15/12 A fun mountain course. Mostly flat & open with a couple tight holes & elevation changes. Majority of the fairways were lush and in great shape. One or two were a little thin, but still very playable. Greens were soft, rolled well and were fairly consistent. Note; most did not break as much as they looked. staff friendly. No cart girl on this Sunday.
