Course was amazing. Fairways in outstanding shape, as were the greens. Greens were some of the nicest in the LA area, including private country clubs. Service was great.

Angeles National in my opinion has the best fairways and greens in Los Angeles County. I note in the "Surveyors Review" the comment that there is no chipping area or sand practice area yet. In fact there is a sand/fairway bunker area on the far left of the range (easy to miss- it took me several visits to notice it!), and the large practice green accomodates (and allows) chipping practice. I really like all the people there too. If only the greens fees weren't quite so high, but then again they are certainly reasonable given the product, especially since many less desireable courses charge as much or more!

It's in very good shape - greens still quick and firm, though they're getting more receptive, fairways nearly perfect, and bunkers in excellent condition. I continue to like this layout a lot even though today the pins were in some truly impossible spots. On the down side, though, the greens fees are already up to $98 on the weekends, and there's no doubt in my mind that when the clubhouse is built, the fees will be somewhere in the $150 to $170 range. Even at $100, it's not a great value in my view. The customer service has to be a LOT better, and the pace much quicker, to justify even a c-note greens fee. This is a really good course, and one that I highly recommend, but for goodness' sake play on some kind of discount.

Very exciting for the first time! Even though the facilities were not completed, the staff was great. The lay-out is fantastic and the course very well manicured! The surrounding landscape is not very much appealling... so it may be a little overpriced. A course to play occassionally, but drop the price $20 and it would be played frequently. Can not wait for Club House & Restaurant to be built. Sincerely, Tony M.

Playing this course for the first time was very exciting! Even though the Club House / Pro Shop / Restaurant ... have not been built yet, the staff was very accomidating and friendly. The course was target golf challenging but will not limit any golfer. The entire course is very well manicured, especially the tee-boxes. Because it is a "natural habitat" & valley wash, the dessert landscape is a little less appealling. Suggestion: Drop the price by $20 and business will flurish!!! Sincerely, Tony M.

The over seeding is apparently all done, and the course is green and lush. The greens are amongthe best , if not the best you will find anywhere near LA. Tough, but smooth and fair.

The greens are the quiuckest I have played in the LA area and they are extremely smooth. The course was just finishing the overseeding so no carts were allowed on the fairways. Very nice setup, challenging for the lenght. Lots of environmental areas, so there were lots of lost balls. I thought the price is a bit high though, (and it does not include range balls)considering there are other courses of the same cailber for less.
