I hate to say anything, because my partners and I play every week and don't want too many more players to suck up the times. This is one of the best courses, Steve Nicklaus (son of Jack) designed, I have played. All you want from the tips and a lot of "environmentally sensative" can't play from there areas. Not a lot of rought, but plenty of Hazard areas

Great layout that will be even better when original holes (17-18) are restored this summer. Long from the tips, tough back 9. Tricky greens.

I’ve played Angeles National about 6 times since it opened and I can’t say that I’ve seen the course in better shape since it opened. No idea what the previous poster is talking about the greens being slow or the course being overrated. I miss the original hole 9 and hole 16 should be a par 4 on the card until they move the tees back. I like the current pricing and I think they should keep it there even after the repairs are complete. Once they get their club house then a price rise would be appropriate. Will be back for my 7th round soon.

You can add this place to the list of major disappointments in Southern California. The greens are rock hard that putt incredibly slow. That is usually a recipe for an unpleasant expierence. Not to mention the ruts that are in many of them, as well as all the wasted space on them due the miniature golf effect. There is no putting or chipping green, temporary holes and greens and a cart girl who was so lazy that she wouldn't even get out of her cart to get my friend's drink. Oh yea, he had to get his own ice, as well.

It's true they are having the U.S. Open qualifier here. The only problem that it is the one for TENNIS!!! Those stuffed shirts must have owed Jack a favor to play this pig pen.

This golf course was great. The course (everything from: site, practice facility, carts w/ GPS front and back, greens, fairways, rough, sand) was just in great condition and the service was perfect. Just to think the course is still under construction. The club house is not finished but, you would never know.
When you drive up you can see the layout of the course and it just looks marvelous.
I would recommend this course for anyone that plays golf. Do not miss the experience.

I have the good fortune of being able to play a lot of golf around the Southern California area. My buddy took me to Angeles National and I must say that I was extremely impressed with this golf course. Without a doubt one of the best golf courses in the Los Angeles / Ventura area. One thing that sets this golf course aside is the staff. From the bag dropp off to the cart girls; it's a first class course. I inquired about moving our annual tournament to Angeles National and Vic Castro did a phenominal job in awnsering all of my questions. I have never felt so confident with a tournament director than I did with Vic Castro. I'm a member at HillCrest Country Club and my rounds have gone down at HillCrest and increased at Angeles National.

Played twlight yesterday. Two things that stood out, 1) the round took less than 4 hours and 2) It was a very pretty course. Everything you read and heard about Angeles is right on. Beautiful fairways, nice tee boxes, good rough, sand traps could be a little better (some of them had too many little rocks) and the greens will be awesome after this aeration. Very accurate GPS. Bring extra sleeves of balls, tight course. Looking foward in coming back.

Was overall very nice course and when it is back to regulation it will again be great. I just wish they would lower the price for walking the course and give the option when you arrive.
