Played Saturday, 1/31, about 11:15 off the waiting list. I arrived about 9:45 and there was a tournament that went off 10 – 11:00, but the starter was good natured and seemed to get us wait-listers out ASAP afterward. I managed to avoid bunkers all day, so I can't address their condition, but otherwise, the course is in solid shape. Nice tee boxes and the greens were in good shape with some quickness to them. You can occasionally find yourself with a thin lie on the fairways, as I did, but that was unusual. I struggled a bit to find my swing, but found nothing to complain about as far as the course. Beautiful, warm, cloudless day with minimal breeze. Got around in just about five hours -- a little slow but steady -- not bad for a weekend muni. A solid course, I'm always happy to play it.

PLAYED MONDYA 1/20 FIRST GROUP OUT AT 6:45 AS A 4 ALL OFF THE WAITING LIST. COURSE WAS IN GOOD SHAPE TEES ARE GOOD. GREENS ROUND GOOD SOME HAD WEAR AND TEAR ON THEM FROM THE WEEKEND HACKERS. WITH THE RATES GOING UP I HOPE THEY PUT THE 5% THEY THEY SUPPOSED TO INTO THE SAND TRAPS. FROMA SCALE FROM 1 TO 10 I GIVE THE TRAPS A 4 BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF SAND IN THEM. YOU HAVE TO TRY THE EGGS BENEDICT IN THE CAFE THEY ARE GREAT.

Course is in good condition, but sand isn't too good, very hard. Pace was average for your muni. Trees are starting to lose a few leaves and some wind will bring a bunch of brown leaves on the course so you may have trouble finding your ball on a couple of holes. Very green and nice for the most part. Tee'd off at 12:45 and was able to get 17 holes with light. Played the 18th with no light and did finish, but a lot of hit and run to search for the ball. Good fun.

Played yesterday, 11/4 and got off sometime around 12:45-ish. $16 twilight rate walking. Course has been described fully before, so just the short review. This is the first time I've played since they finished revamping a lot of the tee boxes. I don't recall one yesterday that wasn't nicely level, and they are generally all pretty large so the selected teeing areas are not abused. The level tee thing is a pet peeve so I really appreciated them. Otherwise, on the fairways there were a few thin spots and one soggy spot, but nothing to complain about given that it had rained parts of the day/night before -- overall good conditions . Greens were soft as a result but were in good shape and ran medium fast. We were a foursome of singles and were the last ones to finish 18 in the gloom. We had a good time tracking each other's shots as we hustled through the last three holes and, despite having a very erratic round, I managed to par the 18th pretty much in the dark. Always feels good to finish well and it's a tough par, but it tells me I probably would have scored better if I played with my eyes closed. Good times.

A bit quirky with the artifical mounds. My biggest criticism is that the layout was boring. Too many greens guarded by traps in front of them that looked the same.

Good course, not much in the way of hazards, besides a few bunkers. Wide fairways to accomodate hackers. Pace can get slow, but typically fun people to play with when you join as a single.

The more I play this old traditional course, the more it reaffirms my love of the old style golf courses. (Rancho, Wilson, Riviera, etc) The course was actually in decent condition, although there were some areas in the fairways which were suspect and need some attention. Considering the greens were recently punched, I thought they were fantastic how well they recovered. Pace of play was typically slow, not so so bad that it ruined the round. "Like a walk in the park" playing here!

If you can get by the grouchy starter, you'll have a great day.

For those of us fortunate individuals who can get tee time on weekends, this is a wonderful treat. The course is in decent shape but I can't say the same for the attendants.

For those of us fortunate individuals who can get tee time on weekends, this is a wonderful treat. The course is in decent shape but I can't say the same for the attendants.

Who do I have to bribe to get you guys smiling and cheerful? Sure I can settle for your take-it-or-leave-it tee time scheduling but once we are in, do let us feel like we are tiny bit special.

The course tests your skill from how straight and far you can hit your ball from all kinds of leveling lies. Even the practice range is sloped, #$%@!

Even on my bad day I shot 76 from the back tees. I like it and I want to return but I'll keep sending my buddies to deal with you at the window. I don't need sh%t before my round. I get enough from your sloped lies.
