Course in nice shape overall - the cool start to summer has most fairways still green for the most part. If anything, the course appears slightly overwatered in places. Tee boxes in good shape.

Greens look nice but are quite spongy so no release on full shots in - they are probably a tad over-watered so a little bit bumpy in places but they are running medium pace and fairly true. Incidentally, most of the greens here are pretty straightforward with only minor breaks. Most stuff from 10 feet and in is inside the hole. The only exception are the few multi-tiered greens were you definitely want to be on the right level. A lot of the greens are very deep so gauging pin placement is crucial to club selection.

All in all a fun round - never ran into a soul so as a walking single I finished in 2.20.

Played Sunday Morning at 9 am, took about 4 - 4 1/2 hours. Replayed at 2:30, finished in 3 - 3 1/2 hours. Not the nicest play, but good for mid to higher handicappers. All 3's and 4's here. Bring ... Continue »

Definatly a place to go have fun playing a casual game with friends. Not too challenging, and holes are designed for fun with a couple holes under 100, no par 5's, and an island green (although duck poop is everywhere around). Conditions from tee to green are good, definately not great, but not terrible. Come for a 3 1/2 round for a good time.

I had fun today in this golf course. Fairways and greens were in good condition except for divots. Golfers, please fix your divots!!!

this is a great executive course. I still like it more than a few surrounding full size courses. This course is usually well kept with nice fairways and greens.

Saturday afternoon, Golfnow.com, $15, uncrowded conditions due to hot weather. Greens look lush. There has been several greens with repair areas and those repairs are healed in nicely. Hardly any bare spots on this course. Big problem with people not fixing ball marks on greens. I probably fixed 5-10 and my playing partners each fixed as many on most of the greens. With the right tool and technique, it is so easy to fix ball marks properly. The ugly: sand traps. Several had wet, muddy conditions, and many others had hard, dusty, and crusty sand. I remember the conditions of the sand to be better very recently, but not now. They just need a spin with the sand pro machine to loosen it all up. Overall, o.k. with a discount. I wouldn't pay full rack here with all the other courses available within a 45 minute drive.

Played in the morning 5/23/09 The course was crowded, I noticed driving up watching the groups of the first few holes and their were fivesomes out there. Big mistake, especially on a start of a long weekend. AS it goes, we waited on 16 of 18 holes. Ridiculous.
Course was in fair condition overall. Greens were very lush and good color, some bumps and not too fast of a roll but they were nice to look at. It is a shame to have such beauty and not fix your ball marks. A lot of beginners out at this course, they need to know how to take care of their course.

Hats off to the crews working here, greens look great and the Geese droppings are minimal, large, but minimal.
Tee boxes are a mess, too many bad divots. Was only in one fairway bunker, it was descent. Hole #1 bunker had deep casual water.
Look for discounts if you must play here, because several groups of five not so great players will hold up the show, and make for a long day, that should be a short and satisfying round of golf for the price they charge!

May 23, 2009: Got a discount rate through Golfnow.com ($15 incl. cart) for 2:14 Saturday afternoon. I usually avoid this course, especially on weekends. It was unusually and pleasantly quiet here. Very few golfers on the course and breezed through in about 3 hours, including waiting on the first 6 and the last 2 holes. Problems with overwatering (posted by the last 2 reviewers) seemed to be nonexistent. In fact, the whole course looked lush, but not overwatered. Most of the tees were fine if not a little over-divotized on some of the holes. Being an executive course, many people tend to just drop and hit, making huge divots on the tee boxes. Fairways and rough looked as good as it can get here. Bunkers were fine, except for some goose footprints in the big trap in front of 4 green. Speaking of geese, there seemed to be considerably less goose turds than this course is known for. Greens were medium slow and lush. The people in front of me must have forgot their ball-mark repair tools, because I fixed about 5 to 10 marks per green, thanks to my Smartee.

What a waste of money to play this course, for 10$ more on a Saturday I could play lost canyons ($45 for an exec course + a $5 cart key deposit,what a freakin joke). Ok here is the review:

What a waste of money to play this course, for 10$ more on a Saturday I could play lost canyons ($45 for an exec course + a $5 cart key deposit,what a freakin joke). Ok here is the review:

Course conditions:
Fairways - Soggy and muddy, covered with duck crap in most areas. Cart got stuck on 5 holes total through out the day.
Sand traps were basicaly clay bowls, I hit out of one and had a sand clump stuck on my wedge.
Greens were ok - nothing consistant - one was fast, next was very slow, next was pot marked to.. well you get the picture.
Rough was diffrent on each hole, and alot of it unplayable unless you can figure out how to hit out of mud.

Overall this course is in very poor shape and the customer service is right on par with the conditions:


1st hole starter make me tee off while the group ahead is in my range, I tell him I can hit em, and he says its 6:30 in the morning, you aint hitting them, I drove 10 yrds past the carts, and anyone who know me, know thats about 190 yrds, lol. StartBADexp@VVnow.

6th hole while we are teeing off, the cart girl goes screaming up the cart path, only time we saw her all day.

Like I said, we got stuck in the mud about 5 times, I had a handicap flag on my cart and an 85yr old passenger, so I was pushing us out each time. The Course Super comes by at one point and simply laughs at us then drives on - no asking if we need help, no nothing. So after the round I go into talk to the manager - who I am told is not in, so I relay the issue to the starter, and he starts laughing and says yea, lots of people been stuck today. No appoligy, no nothing.

Will not go back to this course again.
