My law firm sponsored a charity event here. Never had the chance to play Glendora until now, but i am glad i got to play finally. Event happened on June 6, 2022.

Staff at checkin was great. Very nice people. Charity event staff was great, too.

Event itself was a blast. Glendora catered the event and the food was just lovely. The sandwiches they made were top notch.

As for the course, practice area was fine. Putting greens were nice and indicative of the greens on the course. Downside is that the range is very small. Had to warm up with my approach wedge as everything else was going too far.

Teed off on 8 and, from there, all was perfect.

Tee boxes were perfectly level. Good grass on all tee boxes.

Fairways were well manicured and had more than sufficient grass.

Rough was pine needles mostly, but I didn’t play out of those.

Sand appeared good, but did not play out of any bunkers all day (best ball tournament). I did recover a ball from the sand, though and it seemed good.

Greens were really nice. Very fast. Made for a fun day ribbing my playing partners.

All told, i would definitely play here again, given the opportunity. I already okayed the firm paying to sponsor the event again. It really was a complete blast.

Got invited to play Glendora CC by a friend that works at Red Hill CC and his head pro got us out at GCC.

I'm always excited to play a CC because individuals pay a lot of money to be members there. I'm excited because if I was paying that much I'd be expecting premium conditions all around.

They have a small cool practice facility.. I think it's pretty good for the area they have. The tee boxes were all lush and nicely manicured. Fairways were really lush, looked like if the ball was siting on carpet. The rough was medium length and thick, tough to hit out of. They have pinestraw which I always struggle hitting out of. Greens rolled decent, really fast but not as pure as the should for a CC. Which was frustrating because some putts wouldn't just hold its lines. But overall they were tough greens and fun.

Great experience fun round there. Definetly tight tee shots and fast green makes a tough golf course.

Played here on MON, 2/22 in a Senior event. This was my first time at Glendora CC. Great customer service handling our group of 100+ seniors. Much of my review is similar to larryq2001's review.

Played here on MON, 2/22 in a Senior event. This was my first time at Glendora CC. Great customer service handling our group of 100+ seniors. Much of my review is similar to larryq2001's review.

Greens: Very firm and smooth. Very difficult to keep the ball on the green even with the short irons. Downhill and side hill putts very demanding.

Fairways: I disagree with larryq2001 here as I thought the fairways were above average but that may be due to the courses in my area. I have been playing dormant bermuda with very thin hardpan lies. These fairways were green and had more body. Lots of mature trees can cause some trouble.

Rough: 1 to 2" high with some bare spots.

Traps: above average conditions again compared to the rock hard traps in my area, north county of San Diego.

A very enjoyable outing even tho I didn't play well, would like to play here again but with my "A" game.

Played Glendora CC today 2/17 as part of an SCGA outing. These outings are usually fun and today we had a good time. We played the blues 71.6/129. Its at 6,396 yds. but it seemed much longer. Some of the par 4's are pretty long.

This is a private course but was pretty disappointed with some of the conditions. Its clear the drought has hurt this course and fairways were just ok. A lot of small weeds are growing on some of the fairways which you find on most muni's. The lies were just ok. Sand traps are nice on top but an inch under there was hard pan. A real disappointment.

Tee boxes weren't great and were ragged. The greens however were incredible. They were in great shape; very smooth, fast and very hard to read. No ball marks which was great to see but being above the hole and having a down hill putt was brutal. No way to stop it even if you barely tapped it. A lot of breaks, some large but many were subtle. I didn't have straight putt all day. The greens were also hard and would not hold good shots.

I found this course difficult to play. Fairways are narrow and are lined with trees. You need to hit in the fairway and although hitting fairways is always great, you also have to position your drive to have a shot at the green. Not having played this course before was a disadvantage so course knowledge would have been helpful.

Even though I found this course to be average, I do want to play it again. I am thinking it plays better in the spring and summer.

Played last Saturday with fellow GK'er sixpez at a rare Saturday SCGA Outing. The course has two different sides , the front is flat and straight and the second is hilly with more interesting holes. Overall a nice course. I wouldn't hesitate to play again.
